🚨PLAY OFF FINALS INBOUND🚨Tell your, nans, cats, Dogs, Gramps, mums, Dads, Goldfish’s that the old boys are on their way! On a rather sunny Saturday we faced Quedgeley Wanderers in a play off semi final, all still to play for. We started well in tough conditions, as J beads broke the lines with. Brilliant through ball, which our very own Egyptian king Finn Gasan latched on to before calmly slotting it past the GK, the old boys didn’t let up as yet again another long throw was launched in to the box, before Josh Kerr managed to get his giant bounce on it and flicked it to the back post where Captain marvel headed the ball back across goal into the far corner giving the GK no chance. 2-0 ROD! The pressure then continued to mount and the old boys kept moving. A goal kick from Turbo managed to go through everyone, before Chuds got onto the end of it, he then got smashed out by the GK resulting in a stone wall penalty. Chuds then did Chuds things and buried the Pen. 3-0! Half time the boys regrouped and all got in together. After getting fired up again, the red men returned knowing what they had to do. The boys then kept the ball majority of the half, not letting Quedgeley get a sniff. This play soon resulted in Gasan getting to the byline, pulling it back Joe beads knocked it on With Haz getting on the end of it! The ball was flying into the bottom corner (ON TARGET) then took a very slight deflection from the defender and wrong footed the GK. 4-0! Old boys didn’t let their Guard down and defended well, keeping the clean sheet. This puts us into the Play off final against mavericks next Saturday @ longlevens🖤❤️
🍆COTM: Haz, Yellow card, an apparent dive, screaming in the face and diving in a couple of times 🫠 there was also probably a couple more reasons.
🌟MOTM: Barn, some great overall play breaking up the play and some great ball carrying!
