Day 4 and peg 91 upper concra stuck to the mit, can’t say I was happy with it when I drew it too be Honest as it couldn’t of been further away from where I really wanted to be, but Elmo’s drawn 99 and made no mistakes putting a weight of 21kg 310 together awesome well done mate!! 🎣👏🏼
I’ve weighed 16kg 760 for 2nd in the section and 2nd In the match today which puts me in the lead going in too the last day in a very tight match only 2kg in front of Andy Powell and Connor Browne 😬
Open draw tomorrow so I could be anywhere so fingers crossed for a good one!
No catch shot today because to be honest they all look the same 😂😂

Day 3 and peg 56 on middle concra for me, middle of the section sandwiched between Elmo and Kev 😬, I said at the beginning of the week I’d be happy just to win the section once with these two in my rotation as there so consistent on the venue!
Fished pole all day mainly at top 5 with an odd look at 6 sections fished a 1gram rig from start to finish changing depths too keep in touch with the fish and finished up with 16kg 520g narrowly beating Elmo next peg who had 300g less to win the section!! 🥳
Connor brownes won the match today from upper concra with a brilliant 22kg and he’s now top of the leader board all to play for still with 2 days too go I’m off to upper concra tomorrow il dream of peg 99 tonight 😂😂 🎣🎣

Day 2 and peg 28 lower concra and another great days fishing on the pole fished at 10 meters most of the day and caught roach with an odd perch thrown for 13kg,got tuned up off of the next peg by the master Kevin Johnson who had 15kg to win our section again ,the venues fishing better every day😃,well done to Jim brockie on the match win with 17kg off of upper concra and Andy Powell 2nd with 16kg also on upper, I’m off to middle concra tomorrow which has fished better today so fingers crossed for a decent weight! 🎣🎣

Day 1 of the Lough muckno July festival today in Ireland, drew peg 194 on yellow island not fished this section for a few years as it wasn’t in the festival last year so didn’t really know what to expect🫤 water levels are up after a lot of rain the last week but still loads of fish to be caught on Pole 😃 got venue experts craig Ellis (Elmo) and Kevin Johnson in my rotation section of doom 😂 caught steady on pole all day mainly roach with odd hybrid amongst them weighed 14kg 320g beaten by Kev who had 15kg for the section 👏🏼 think that’s put me 3rd on the day so not a bad start on too lower concra tomorrow! 🎣🎣🎣

Another weekend on the Gloucester canal 😅 having a break from it next week off too Ireland to fish the muckno July festival could do with a change of scenery😂
Saturday was another line up with DGL, weather was horrendous so not as much learned as possible but everyone caught fish on different methods again so not a wasted trip!
Sunday was canal pairs qualifier with Andy pollard think we’ve qualified the last 6 years on the bounce now so was keen to carry it on I’ve been at rea peg 237 an area I usually like but the 220s have fished well ,seemed like the bulk of big fish were in that area yesterday, I managed to scratch together 6lb of everything for only half way in the 35 peg zone but luckily pollards come to the rescue as he does and come 3rd in his zone off peg H2 with 11lb to give us a 50 point total and qualification again for another year😃🎣
Results from yesterday pairs match 7 pairs qualified and due too pairs already qualified it went down to about 10th place there were also ties on weight

3rd Steve long & mick nowiki 58 points
4th Matt Barnett & mark Saunders 56 points
5th Andy pollard & Charlie Vallender 50 points (higher weight)

Been on Gloucester canal both days again this weekend,Saturday was another in-line practice session with the team fishing was really difficult for most luckily I got plonked on the end and managed to snare two decent skimmers and a bream with a few bits thrown in for 8lb odd a few things learned again though in the lead up to the national 😬
Todays been the Lobbys open match 69 fishing from Hempstead up to pilot up Ive drawn peg 201 at rea don’t think I’ve drawn it before! Peg looked great though with cover over and plumbed up well on pole lines,
Had a great match and Caught steady most of the day on three different lines to end up with 14lb 14oz which was best weight rea-pilot and snuck in 4th overall on the day 😁🎣
Another two days on Gloucester next weekend canal pairs on Sunday 🎣🎣
