PLEASE PARK RESPONSIBLY!

The Manchester Amateur Sunday Football League is concerned by the recent parking situation both at Turn Moss, and in the surrounding area.

While we appreciate that parking in the area is limited and that many participants travel from across the region to play, coach and spectate, it is essential that cars are parked in a responsible manner.

You must NOT:

Obstruct Turn Moss Road
Double park
Leave insufficient space for emergency vehicles
Block pavements and pedestrian rights of way
Block residential driveways and access points
Obstruct access to the changing rooms or other buildings on the Turn Moss site (these remain in use)
Park outside of marked bays
Turn Moss is managed by Trafford Council, and the roads surrounding it are public highways. Thus, Trafford Council reserves the right to carry out parking enforcement operations at any times.

The situation has now deteriorated to the extent that local residents lives are now being impacted negatively. Grassroots football should not have this effect.

Therefore, the Manchester Amateur Sunday Football League urges all participants to park responsibly, and if possible, consider alternative transport options. This can include taking the tram, the bus or car pooling.

Let’s work together to make Turn Moss a place which contributes to the local community.

MIKE MCKENZIE MEMORIAL CUP!

On Sunday, Chorlton Sports & Social Club came out victorious in the Mike McKenzie Memorial Cup.

They beat Roe Cross Simmondley (1-2) in a well contested battle.

MIKE MCKENZIE MEMORAL CUP FINAL!

This Sunday, Roe Cross will face down Chorlton Sports & Social in the final of the Mike McKenzie Memorial Cup.

The game will take place at 11AM, at:

Whalley Range AFC, M21 0XX

Entry fees will be set at:

Adults: £3
Seniors: £2
Children: £1
Under 5s: Free

PLEASE NOTE: All revenue from tickets sold will be donated to the British Heart Foundation in loving memory of Mike McKenzie.

Mike was a great friend of the league, and achieved irrefutable success on numerous occasions. We would love to see as many people as possible in attendance to celebrate what is sure to be a thrilling game, while celebrating his memory also.

MASFL is delighted to announce that earlier this evening, at an EGM, our member clubs voted unanimously in favour of proposals to merge with the Hyde, Oldham & District Sunday League for the forthcoming 26/27 season.

Now, both League Management Committees will begin the process of implementing and fine tuning the necessary changes.

CUP RESULTS!

Here are the results from the only two games played in the first round of the Mike McKenzie Cup (dedicated to his memory).

De La Salle and South Manchester Athletic will progress to the Second Round, where all the other teams will now join them!
