What a brilliant day in the sunshine at the Highland. Our games team of Abbey, Evie, Grace, Lily and Eva rode fantastically well to come 3rd in the main arena. Lots of great racing in front of a huge crowd made for a very exciting Saturday evening. We are also very proud as earlier in the day former member, William Hamilton, won the Andrew Hamilton RHS Novice Final with a very speedy double clear- well done William👏👏👏 , ,

🐴Pony Club Jumping at the Border Union Show🐴

An exciting Inter-Branch Team Competition on Friday 24th July at the Border Union Show ~ Open to all Pony Club branches in Area 2 & Area 19.

🐎Junior Teams – 3 or 4 riders, aged 12 years and under on 1st January 2026 (Max jump height: 65cm)
🐎Senior Teams – 3 or 4 riders, aged 25 years and under on 1st January 2026 (Max jump height: 85cm)

Competition Format:
• Single-phase course combining Show Jumping & Working Hunter fences
• Second half of the course will be timed
• Best 3 scores to count towards the team result
• All riders automatically entered into the individual competition with rosettes & sashes for winners

‼️😡STOLEN from a field in LAUDER😡‼️
Was seen either on Tuesday 9th or Thursday 11th at 4.45am stopped on the side of the road leading up to the A697 from Lauder

Pony Club Bateson flat deck trailer with mesh sides.

This trailer was bought with funds raised by the kids to hold our jumps in. We are now in a bit of a mess!!😥

🐴☔ Mini Rally Fun Despite the Rain! ☔🐴

Friday night was the turn of our Minis for a fantastic rally, and what a great evening it was!

Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, all our riders showed determination and confidence in the saddle, producing some excellent riding throughout the session. We are so proud of every one of them for their enthusiasm and positive attitude, even when the rain arrived! 🌧️👏

After riding, everyone headed indoors for their theory session. With plenty of wet boots and muddy ponies outside, the group spent time learning all about pony health, vaccinations and the importance of checking passports to ensure vaccinations are up to date. 📖🐎💉

A fun and educational evening all round, with lots of smiles, learning and pony club spirit on display.

Well done to all our Minis, and thank you to our volunteers and instructors for making the evening such a success! 💜

🐴🌟 What a Weekend for Lanark & Upperward Pony Club! 🌟🐴

We are incredibly proud of our members who were out representing the club across a variety of events this weekend, achieving some fantastic results! 💜

🏆 West Perthshire PC Mounted Games Competition
A huge well done to all of our Games riders who represented the club brilliantly.

⭐ Senior Team
🥉 3rd place on Sunday
🏅 4th place on Saturday

⭐ Juniors
🥇 Olivia & Orlagh rode for West Perthshire and took 1st place
🥈 Anna rode with Kincardine and secured 2nd place

⭐ Junior B Team
Robyn, Willow, Flora and Miai finished 4th overall and won Fantasy Gallop Down the Middle as Best Novice Team 🌟

⭐ Pairs
🥇 Abbie & Kirstin – 1st place
🥈 Emma & Luke – 2nd place

🐎 working Hunter Success
🌟 Zara had a fantastic day, taking:
🥇 1st in Nursery Novice Working Hunter (50cm)
🏅 4th in the Training Stakes

🌟 Taylor achieved:
🥇 1st in the 60cm Training Stakes
🏆 Reserve Champion

Taylor also stepped up to compete in the 70cm and 80cm Training Stakes, just having two unlucky poles. A great effort and plenty more to come!

🏇 South of Scotland Horse Trials
A massive congratulations to Scout, who stepped up to 100cm level for the very first time and absolutely smashed it!

🥇 1st Place in the U18s class aboard Bart
🏅 4th Place in the Open 100 class aboard Dermot

To top it off, Scout achieved double clear rounds on both ponies on their first run at this level – an incredible achievement! 🌟

👏 Thank you to all our trainers, volunteers and parents for their continued support. It was a fabulous weekend filled with teamwork, determination and success.

Area 19 of the Pony ClubFoundation Day Prize Winners 🏆🎉

Huge congratulations to our Club President Mrs Barr who was awarded her The Pony Club Cubitt Award for 50 years service. We are very grateful to Mrs Barr for all she has done and continues to do for the club. It was lovely to have one of the ponies she bred who was competing today at the age of 29 also at the presentation, along with members of Mrs Barr’s family.
Congratulations also to Elizabeth Love who was awarded the The Pony Club MacDonald Coach Award. This is a relatively new award to recognise excellence in coaching. We are very lucky to be able to use Liz on a very regular basis and all our members from young to old benefit from her wealth of experience.
Well done- richly deserved 👏👏👏

What a brilliant day at Foundation day. Thanks to all the competitors, stewards, judges and parents! Thanks also to the Young family of Overton for providing this brilliant venue. It was super to have some of our current and also former members helping- Carrie, Laura, Ava, Evie and Emma. Thanks also to parents and members who helped tidy up at the end of the day. Some highlights for our members:-
Willow and Flora both 5th in their Lead rein dressage sections
Hannah 5th in the Intro dressage class
Taylor 3rd in the PC70 dressage
Lexie 4th in the PC70 dressage qualifying for Spring Festival🎉
Chloe 1st in the PC70 plus dressage
Hannah 3rd in Intro Combined Training
Taylor 5th in PC70 Combined Training
Willow won best turned out for dressage
Dressage team of Hannah, Lexi and Robyn came 7th overall out of 14 teams!
Flora 6th in LR PC30 SJ
Hannah 3rd in PC40 & PC50
Chloe 1st in PC70 Plus SJ and 2nd in PC80
Annie 4th in PC80
Our SJ team of Lucy, Lexie, Hannah and Zara came 8th out of 20 teams!
