Round Strathaven 50

Round Strathaven 50 Strathaven's annual charity cycling event! Organised by Strathaven Cycle Events (SC054733) the event is held every August.

The Round Strathaven 50 is a 50 mile cycle route around the town of Strathaven. It was founded over 10 years ago as an event to help charities and the local scouts and guides. It was also created to encourage people to exercise more. Since it's start, the RS50 has increased in popularity and has became a more family event with the introduction of a 15 mile family/fun route. It has also helped many

charities including CHAS and in most recent years Health Help International(HHI). This year the event is having many changes which will be updated on this page.

A few entrants have been asking about the cyclists' briefing pack. This will be emailed to all entrants tomorrow (check your junk folder too!). We are aware this feels very last minute but it ensures that information is as up to date as possible.
The weather is looking decent and there is lots of baking going on.
Thanks to everyone that has entered so far (there are a few hours left to grab a space!).

A final final reminder that entries for The Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) Charity cycle events CLOSE IN 48 HOURS AT 11pm ON THURSDAY (13th) and there are very few places left.

Start 1 (9.30am) of the 50-mile is FULL and closed*.
Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has only 60 spaces left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has only 30 places left.
(*=we have accommodated as many as possible from the waiting list but are restricted by both road space and catering practicalities for each wave - sorry!)

FOR THOSE FAMILIAR WITH THE EVENTS PLEASE BE AWARE THAT :
There will be TWO strict registration and start times for the FIFTY-MILE RS50 (9.30am and 10.30am) and ONE for the FIFTEEN-MILE FAMILY RS15 (11.30am). There will NOT be any “entry on the day” for either distance.
You choose your start time by entering the event that has your preferred time (subject to availability).
Please see each event page for more details.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR THE CORRECT EVENT TIME AND DISTANCE.

A final reminder that The Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) Charity cycle events take place in ONE week on Sunday (16th August). Entries CLOSE AT 11pm ON THURSDAY (13th) and there are very few places left.
Start 1 (9.30am) of the 50-mile is FULL and closed*.
Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has less than 75 spaces left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has about 30 places left.

A reminder that The Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) Charity cycle events take place in SIX weeks on Sunday 16th August. The event is filling very quickly so if you are considering entering don't wait too long!
Start 1 (9.30am) of the 50-mile is FULL (but has a waiting list open).
Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has less than 150 places left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has about 40 places left.

A reminder that this year's Round Strathaven Cycle Events are on Sunday 16th August - only 10 weeks away!!
As always spaces are filling fast :
Start 1 (9.30am) of the 50-mile has only 63 spaces left
Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has only 177 spaces left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has 55 family spaces left but will fill fast as we get nearer the summer holidays.
