Mia has been with us since she was just a tiny dancer, and watching her grow into the beautiful, talented young lady she is today is so incredibly special.

Dance has always been her happy place - her home - and we couldn’t be prouder of the dancer standing before us today. From that eager little learner all those years ago, soaking up every correction and desperate to improve, to the confident and talented dancer she is becoming… what a journey it has been. 🥹

Meet Vida - our newest little firecracker on the VIBE Competition team here at MDC! 🔥🩷

At just 5 years old, this little superstar is an absolute ball of energy and already such a joy to teach. She soaks up every single lesson, works incredibly hard and brings so much personality into the studio! 🥹✨

We already can’t believe the improvements she’s made in such a short space of time, and her dedication at such a young age is so lovely to see.

In just FOUR Freestyle competitions, our superstar Esmie has already managed to grade up to DOUBLE STARTER! 🤩🏆

With incredible 🥇 1st place wins at Diva, Breen and VIP, she has absolutely flown through her first grades and we couldn’t be prouder of her! 💗✨

💗 A VERY SPECIAL MOMENT FOR OUR ROSE 💗

This one was extra special for us! 🥹✨

It was Rose’s very first time competing in Under 12 Beginners, as well as taking to the floor in the Open Invitation section - and what a day she had! 🌟

Rose went on to take an incredible 🥇 1st PLACE in her Slow Dance, earning her very first grade point! 🏆✨

We genuinely couldn’t be prouder of how far Rose has come. She works so hard, is an absolute credit to our team and is loved by every single one of us. 💗

Watching her confidence and dancing grow makes moments like this even more special.

🌟 PREMIER CHAMP AT JUST 11 YEARS OLD! 🌟

A HUGE congratulations to our superstar Zoe, who has officially reached the highest grade in Freestyle - PREMIER CHAMP! 🏆✨

After an incredible 🥇 1st place at the IFDC Championships in August, Zoe has climbed her way into Under 12 Prem, having only just turned 11! 🤩

This girl works SOLIDLY both in class and at home, constantly pushing herself, practising and working towards that next goal - and she truly deserves every bit of this achievement. 💪🏼💗

At just 6 years old, Delilah danced her socks off this weekend, bringing home an incredible 1st AND 2nd place and earning her grade up! 🥇🥈

When the evenings get darker, please keep taking them to their clubs. 🤍

We know it’s harder at this time of year.

They’ve been at school all day. They’re tired. It’s cold outside. It’s already dark by the time you need to leave the house… and when they say “I don’t want to go tonight”, staying home can feel like the easier option.

But sometimes, the nights they don’t feel like going are the nights they need it most.

Because their club isn’t just dance, football, gymnastics, swimming or whatever activity they love.

It’s an hour away from their bedroom and their screens.

It’s seeing their friends.

It’s laughing, talking and feeling part of something.

It’s moving their body and releasing endorphins.

It’s building confidence, resilience and social skills without them even realising it.

It’s routine and connection during the darker months when it can become so easy for all of us to retreat indoors and isolate ourselves.

And more often than not, the child who didn’t want to go is the one who comes back through the door happier than when they left 🥰

Of course children need rest. They need quiet evenings and time to switch off too.

But as autumn and winter arrive, don’t underestimate the importance of keeping the things in their week that get them moving, connecting, laughing and belonging.

Sometimes getting them through the door is the hardest part.

The smile when they come back out reminds you why you did. 🤍
