We managed to beat the heat and fit in some polework and jumping before the afternoon sun hit.

🐴 Equine Flu Update – Guidance for Horse Owners & Competitors 🐴

Due to the current increase in Equine Influenza cases across the UK, we are asking all horse owners and competitors attending Stourport Riding Centre to take extra precautions to help protect all horses, ponies and visitors.

Equine Flu is highly contagious, with a short incubation period and rapid spread between horses.

We strongly advise:
✅ Horses are fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza
✅ Ideally boosters are up to date within the last 6 months
✅ Horses have daily temperature checks for the 2 days before attending
✅ Horses showing any signs of illness do not travel
✅ Competitors follow sensible biosecurity precautions on site

Please take a moment to read our full guidance poster before attending any event, lesson, clinic or arena hire.

These measures are temporary and are being introduced to help keep everyone’s horses safe while cases remain high.

📢 Dressage Times & Equine Flu Information – BBC Unaffiliated Dressage 24th May 2026

Due to the recent Equine Flu outbreak in Worcestershire, all British Dressage venues are required to forbid any equine not in a current annual vaccination cycle to enter a show ground.

BBC must observe this ruling and is required to introduce some measures to support Stourport Riding Centre. These will include:

⭕️ Horses or ponies will not be allowed to unload onto the show ground until their vaccination record has been verified by a member of BBC committee. Please make sure you bring your passport with the vaccination record to the nominated steward, who is likely to be by the horse entrance to the International Arena. Alternatively, you can WhatsApp a video of your passport to 07976 750987 in advance, showing the horse’s name on the cover and then opening it to show the vaccination page with the most recent entry (please still bring your passport on the day if you choose this option)

⭕️ Please keep away from other horses at all times, particularly when mounted and certainly do not let them sniff each other.

⭕️ Please keep away from any of the horses that are resident at Stourport Riding Centre.

⭕️ Limited numbers of riders will warm up in the outdoor arena – please make sure that during your warm up you avoid other horses.

⭕️ Please do not bring your horse to compete if it is showing any signs of illness.

That’s a wrap on Bewdley Bridle Club camp 2026!

Last week we spent three fabulous days at Lincomb Equestrian for our 2026 camp and once again it’s been such a great opportunity to learn, progress and enjoy quality time with our horses.

We had fantastic sessions with Sophie Cox Equestrian, William Blane and Karen Walker, along with a fascinating talk from Bryony Wilson and a hands-on grooming demo with NAF. Thanks to Sophie Lauren Photography for the incredible photos too!

Thank you so much to everyone who made it happen and to everyone who attended for being great company. Now we’d better get cracking on next year…
