🏆 STAFFORDSHIRE PREMIER 1 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

For the first time in our club’s history, the Wollaston Men’s A team have been crowned Staffordshire Premier 1 Champions! 🥇🎾

It was a dramatic finish to a fantastic season! Last night, away at Etching Hill, the team sealed a brilliant 3-1 victory to bring home the title.

After Stuart and Adam put us one rubber away from victory, Fin and Joe produced an incredible comeback against Etching Hill's first pair—recovering from 5-1 down in their first set to win 7-5, 6-1 and seal the division title! 💪🔥

This achievement highlights how far the club has come over recent years, with all our teams rising through the divisions—including our Men’s B team following closely behind the A team, playing in Premier 2 this season.

A huge congratulations to all 8 players who represented the Men's A team this summer:

🏆 Summer League Success for WLTC! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our Mixed B team — Div 7 East champions and now celebrating back‑to‑back promotions! A brilliant achievement from everyone involved.

👏 Our Mixed A team currently sit 2nd in Div 4, waiting on the final result to see if they secure another promotion — which would continue their incredible run of being promoted every single year since starting out in Div 8.

🔥 And a special mention to the Mens C team, who pulled off an incredible escape from relegation in Staffs Div 3 — with Ant, Mike, Simon and Mark winning three of the four rubbers on championship tie‑breaks. Outstanding effort.

Fantastic performances across all teams — well done everyone.

Entries are officially open for our brand-new Over 50s Veterans Club Championships.

Grab a partner, sign up, and help us kick off a brand-new club tradition.

📅 Key Dates:
• Entry Deadline: Sunday 6th September (11:00 PM)
• Finals Day: Sunday 11th October (availability preferred but not mandatory)

Our Autumn term is now live!!!!

After a busy summer of holiday camps we’re looking ahead to Autumn, which starts on Saturday the 5th of September, and runs up to the October half term.

If you’ve joined us before or if you are looking at getting into tennis then Wollaston is a fantastic place to play.

Our age groups correspond to the colour of ball the children play:
Red ball - 5-8
Orange ball - 7-9
Green ball - 9-11
Yellow ball - 11 +

You can book on by downloading our JW Coaching app from the IOS and Android store, and we look forward to seeing you all soon 🎾

🎾 A brilliant Club Night at Wollaston on Tuesday.

The courts were full, the place was buzzing, and Chris kept everyone well fed with a busy BBQ. The entertainment was provided by Mens A, who put in a superb 4-0 performance against Streetly.

Huge thanks to Phil Riley for the fantastic action shots.

One match to go - and a win in that final fixture would secure the Staffordshire Premier 1 title for the first time. Wishing the lads all the best for the final push.

🎾 CLUB NIGHT & BIG MATCH THIS TUESDAY! 🍔🍺

Come down to the club tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6:30 PM!

Our Men’s A team are 2 points ahead at the top of the Staffordshire Premier 1 division with just two matches to go. Tomorrow is their final home match against Streetly, and the boys would love a crowd to cheer them on!

We are running a full club night, so come play some social tennis, grab a burger from the BBQ, enjoy a drink at the bar, and back the team.

☀️ Summer Offers Now Live at Wollaston Tennis Club! 🎾

We’re opening up our reduced half‑year membership rates early, giving you full membership to the club from today right through to 31st March 2027 - that’s effectively two months of summer tennis for free.

Whether you fancy competitive matches, relaxed social play, or getting the whole family outdoors, it’s a great time to join the club.

Exciting progress at Wollaston! The new surface for our two courts has been laid today, marking another step forward in improving facilities for our members.

The team will be back tomorrow to complete the work - not long until these courts are ready for play.

We swapped the tennis courts for the River Severn today, canoeing from Bridgnorth to Arley in the gorgeous sunshine! A fantastic day out with brilliant company....
