Nearly every walk someone says they really didn’t feel it that morning..

Too tired. Too cold. Bad night’s sleep. Couldn’t be bothered.

Then an hour later everyone’s standing in a field talking like they’ve known each other for years.

That’s probably my favourite thing about Miles Club.

People come for a walk and suddenly start recognising names, dogs, routes, little shortcuts through Hagley.

It starts feeling familiar really quickly đŸ«¶đŸŒ

Walking works because it removes so many of the things that stop people staying consistent.You don’t need loads of time....

Walking works because it removes so many of the things that stop people staying consistent.

You don’t need loads of time.You don’t need to be at your fittest. You don’t need expensive kit.You don’t need to plan your whole day around it.You don’t need to feel wrecked afterwards.
You can walk before work, after school-run, after dinner, with a baby in a carrier, with the dog, when your head is full, when you just need to get out.

It supports fat loss, improves fitness, helps your head, gets you outside and gives your body movement it can actually recover from and repeat.

That’s why I’ve built Miles Club around walking.
Not random strolls.
Structured walks.Different paces.Local routes.Accountability.People who know your name.

Walking is fitness.
Miles Club gives it structure.

We start every week with a walk.
Even in the rain,rain or snow..

Monday morning was 7.5km through Hagley fields, starting from the train station, past Haybridge, across Hagley Road, more fields, hidden paths and one killer hill at the end because we want to be fit.

The views were gorgeous even with the weather being not so pleasant.

People kept saying, “I’ve never been here before.”

And someone said, “I just love living in Hagley.”

Miles Club isn’t just going for a little walk.

It’s routine.
It’s fresh air.
It’s people.

It’s fitness walks, social walks, different paces, and actually getting out when you probably wouldn’t bother on your own.

More than a walking club đŸ«¶đŸŒ
