A great club championships on Saturday!

Our club championship is this Saturday (16th) from 10am at the Bayhead courts. All welcome. Mixed singles/doubles. £5 entry. Hope to see you there!

It’s been great to regularly have 8 or more players down at our twice weekly sessions (Mondays and Fridays at 6pm). We’re there rain or shine (within reason), and sometimes both, as was the case on Monday. Send us a message if you want to join in.

We’ll be kicking off the tennis season this Friday at 6pm at the bridge centre courts. Court 1 has been cleaned, court 2 should be clear in the next few weeks, and I’ve repaired the old bench. Looking forward to a good year of tennis. All welcome.

Say hello to Stornoway Tennis Club!

We have recently formed and are meeting every week at Bayhead tennis courts (by the bridge centre) on Fridays at 6pm. New members of any ability/beginners are very welcome. Please come along if you’ve ever fancied playing. We can provide rackets and balls.

Coming up soon on the 3rd August we have our inaugural club championships for a bit of friendly competition. Again, all are welcome to sign up to this.

After we have some momentum, we hope to start a children’s section. In the meantime kids are very welcome, but u16s need to be accompanied by an adult.

In the long-run, we hope to fundraise to improve the facilities we have, but we’ve already put in some elbow grease to clear the old court and get it I to a playable condition.
