This will be followed by a coaching session with a Lewis and Harris Youth Team and an evening in the Caladh Inn for a chat about his career, his book and so much more. Thanks for all the positive, supportive comments 😊 Monday early evening and a good squad of us are yet to get home after the game on Saturday. Ferry cancelled by weather on Sunday, then by mechanical issues today which are ongoing after unsuccessful sea trials. Maybe tomorrow 🤷‍♂️ We'll get there yet! Shame the Killie game wasn't this weekend, we could have just stayed on 🤣🤣 🔴⚪️🔴

Well done to the 29 members of the Lewis and Harris Dons who made their way to Pittodrie for yesterday's game against Hibs for our annual club outing. This is our 4th official club trip, 4 wins out of 4 😄

Big appreciation shout-out to Lynn Fiske for helping arrange our annual Player of the Year award 🏆 which we presented to Jack Milne with a hand crafted award in the shape of a standing stone Heb Laze which are synonymous with the islands. A very pleasant and grounded young man who was more than happy to chat with our members and an inspiration to our juniors. Jack was also presented with a Harris Tweed Harris Tweed Authority bonnet and some gifts from Ishga ishga Skin Care.

We also had the good fortune of having the Scottish Cup in our presence 🏆 It has left our grasp for now but seeing it up close with the red of The Dons was so special. We also had a visit from The King of the Beach End, Joe Harper on Legends Day in honour of Joe himself. A pleasure as always to see Joe who we took along some MacLeod and MacLeod Stornoway black pudding Macleod & Macleod Butchers.

Most of our members are still trying to get home unfortunately. Firstly with a ferry cancellation due to the weather and now mechanical issues. It's not easy following AFC from the islands but we do it for our love of The Dons through our own various ties to the club and will continue to do so with a passion!

The Lewis and Harris Dons are delighted to bring to you a fantastic raffle prize. One of our loyal members has kindly offered one week at his self-catering holiday cottage, Taigh Anna, in the village of Back on the picturesque Isle of Lewis rent free!

The normal weekly cost to rent the cottage is £500 (winner to pay the pay as you go electric meter for the week and its pet friendly) The winner must arrange a suitable week with the owner (contact details will be provided to the winner) within the following periods:

Jan-April 2026
Oct - Dec 2026
Jan-April 2027

The cost is £10 per single entry. You can of course have multiple entries to increase your chance of winning.
