Stroud Squash Club is now based at Wycliffe School in Regent Street. The Club started playing at Wycliffe College Sports Hall in May 2021.

Stroud Squash Club is now based at Wyclifffe College Sports Hall off Regent Street, Stonehouse. The Squash Club was started in 1971 by the Stroud Rugby Club at Fromehall Park in order to generate an additional revenue stream and used the two "Banbury" style squash courts until closed of the courts in 2020. The Club shares x3 high-quality glass-back courts with the College students so access to use the courts is limited during term-time.

The new squash season is just around the corner, and there’s never been a better time to give squash a go at Stroud Squash Club! 💪

Whether you’re completely new to the sport, returning after a few years away, or already a seasoned player, we’re a friendly, welcoming and growing club with players of all abilities. 🙌

We play both Squash & Racketball, with:

💜🎾 WOMEN IN SQUASH WEEK | 15th–21st SEPTEMBER 🎾💜

Ever wondered what squash is all about, but never quite felt brave enough to give it a go?

This is your invitation! 🙌

To celebrate Women in Squash Week, Stroud Squash Club is opening its doors to women who are curious about trying squash in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment.

On Saturday 19th September, 10am–12pm, our coach Carys Jones will be running a special 2-hour session designed for women of all abilities — including complete beginners. 💪🎾

✨ No previous squash experience needed
✨ No need to be super-fit or competitive
✨ Rackets and goggles provided
✨ Just bring clean indoor shoes
✨ Only 9 places available so everyone gets plenty of coaching and attention
✨ £15 per person

Whether you're looking for a new sport, a way to get active, to meet some new people, or simply fancy trying something different, we'd love to welcome you.

🌞🏸 Stroud Squash Club Summer Social! 🏸🌞

What a fantastic evening at the Badger Pub in Eastington for our summer social! 🍻☀️

It was brilliant to see such a great turnout from our members — lots of laughs, great food and drink, and plenty of chat about all things squash (and probably a few things that had nothing to do with squash! 😂).

Most importantly, it was a lovely chance to get together off court, catch up and celebrate what a great club we have. 💙

And there are some very exciting plans in the pipeline for the future of Stroud Squash Club… watch this space! 👀🏸

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fun evening. Here’s to the next season and everything that’s still to come! 🥂

No arguing with this ref's calls. 10/10 concentration, would book him again.

🌡️☀️ One of the hottest days of the year? No problem for our dedicated members!

Whilst most people were searching out the air con, our players were reaching for their rackets — because when you love squash, a little heat won't stop you! 🎾🔥

It was brilliant to see two of our fantastic women members on court today, along with one of our youngest players who is already showing a real passion for the game — watch this space! 🌟

We'll say nothing about the *certain someone* whose badminton past came out to play... you know who you are! 🏸🤭 Once a badminton player, always a badminton player!

What a great day to be part of this club. See you all on court! 💪

🔥 Hot courts, cool vibes, and even cooler ice pops tonight at Stroud Squash Club! 🍦

Despite the heat, our members brought their A-game — some seriously close matches, great coaching from the brilliant Carys Jones, and brilliant to see one of our youngest members stepping out on court! 🌟

Who says summer slows us down? Not us! 💪

Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's always a warm welcome at Stroud Squash Club — and apparently now a refreshing ice pop too! 😄🎾

What a perfect way to bring the curtain down on the 2025/26 season! 🏆🎉

We had a wonderful evening at the Gloucestershire Squash Annual Dinner, enjoying a fantastic meal courtesy of the brilliant caterers at Old Pats in Cheltenham, surrounded by squash players of all ages — from the next generation of rising stars to those of us who've been around the court a few times! 😄

It was a special night made even more memorable by the presence of the legendary Nathan Lake, who after a truly phenomenal career has now retired from competitive squash. A remarkable player and an inspiration to so many — thank you, Nathan! 👏

Congratulations to all the teams and individuals who picked up awards on the night — it's clear that squash in Gloucestershire is in very safe hands and has an incredibly bright future ahead. It was brilliant to see both male and female achievements celebrated equally, and the talent coming through in the younger players is genuinely exciting to watch.

A special mention to our Stroud Squash Rackets Club members who came up trumps in the raffle 🎟️, and to those who made sure the night ended on a high — requesting the cheesiest tunes on the jukebox and hitting the dancefloor! 🕺💃

Here's to the 2026/27 season — bring it on! 🚀
