What a perfect way to bring the curtain down on the 2025/26 season! 🏆🎉
We had a wonderful evening at the Gloucestershire Squash Annual Dinner, enjoying a fantastic meal courtesy of the brilliant caterers at Old Pats in Cheltenham, surrounded by squash players of all ages — from the next generation of rising stars to those of us who've been around the court a few times! 😄
It was a special night made even more memorable by the presence of the legendary Nathan Lake, who after a truly phenomenal career has now retired from competitive squash. A remarkable player and an inspiration to so many — thank you, Nathan! 👏
Congratulations to all the teams and individuals who picked up awards on the night — it's clear that squash in Gloucestershire is in very safe hands and has an incredibly bright future ahead. It was brilliant to see both male and female achievements celebrated equally, and the talent coming through in the younger players is genuinely exciting to watch.
A special mention to our Stroud Squash Rackets Club members who came up trumps in the raffle 🎟️, and to those who made sure the night ended on a high — requesting the cheesiest tunes on the jukebox and hitting the dancefloor! 🕺💃
