Stonehaven Thistle Cricket Club

Stonehaven Thistle Cricket Club Stonehaven Thistle Cricket Club has a proud tradition in Aberdeenshire cricket going back since 1872. Why not join us to celebrate 150 years of STCC in 2022.

We have a 1st and 2nd XI and a junior section and welcome all interested players. Stonehaven Thistle has a Senior team that plays in the NESC League and Cup in Grade 3
and a Junior section, Stonehaven Phoenix, made up of 8 to 13-year-olds. We play on and prepare one of the best wickets in the league at Mineralwell Park where we also have cricket nets which the public are welcome to use to practice their cricket.

Saturday sees the 1sts host Gordonians 2nds at Mineralwell park, great to give club debuts to Christy and Callum.

The 2nds head to inverdee on Sunday to play Granite City with 3 juniors in the squad.

No fewer than six Stonehaven Phoenix players take on 3rd Knightriders on Saturday at Mineralwell, coached from the sidelines by Clive Hinchcliffe. The Club President Namib Oosterhuizen will Captain this one as he used to in previous iterations of the 2nd XI.

Expecting a strong opposition they will be backed up by the bowling of Alex Beveridge and Ardash Bhuvanendran and the batting of Prakash Srinivasan.
