Final 2003 post...
2009-2022
What a squad from day 1!
First age group to represent Stonehaven at 4x4s & embarking on the player pathway, the boys loved it & competed well.
7x7s we had an A, B & C team, lots of movement between the grades for all the lads to see how they adapted, the way it should be in Development football!
Then onto 11s competitive football, we went with 2 sides, City qualified A & United B. United played a further 2 seasons before folding & the lads who kept going joined City.
Terrific squad over the years, players, coaches, parents the whole package.
After relegation from A at U13s & narrowly missing promotion at U14s they duly won the league at U15s to take their place back in A football where they stayed as a top 4 then 3 side till reaching 19s. Also experienced Cup Finals, reached latter stages of Scottish Cup twice & stuck together where other teams who tend to mop up better players folded all around them!
Also great to see a number of the lads represent Stonehaven Juniors this season in the U21 Highland Development League 👏
Great memories & wish every single person who has been part of the journey well for the future, in particular every single player who pulled on our famous yellow jersey over the years 💛🖤💛

Final 2003 squad pic, been a tough season struggling for numbers to even get a team on the park each week but full credit to the lads for sticking it out & completing their fixtures where many other sides just folded, good luck to all of you for the future 👏

End of the Stonehaven YFC road for these 4 lads, all played their whole youth football journey for the club starting back in 2009, 4x4s, 7x7s & 11s, big well done to Jack Innes, Jay Waters, Ross McGillivray & Ben Duncan. Fantastic commitment & dedication with many great memories & success. Good luck for the future lads 👏

Last week saw the last Youth game for Jamie Gowans & Kian Irvine, both lads been with 2003s most of their youth football & both moving on to Amateur football. Credit to the club lads & all the best in your football journey going forward 👏

Good luck to Kian Flockhart who leaves us to join his Uni team, Kian joined us from Newtohill BC at the end of the U16s season, we used to have some great derbies v N’hill & he always caused us problems so it was good to have him onboard with some of his old teammates when they folded.
Good luck for the future lad 👏

2 of our lads who have been with us for more than a decade attended their last training sessions recently. Wishing both Jake Marsay & Scott Laing well, both away to Uni 👏
Also a mention to Jack McNicol who unfortunately got injured at the start of last season & sadly hasn’t been back, good luck with your apprenticeship.
All 3 lads played 4s, 7s & 11s for City, many memories made

Great to see the progression, well done both 👏

Onwards to 2003s final season at 19s-
Sadly after the success of 6 x 03 players making it into the new Stonehaven Juniors U21 development set up (pic below), 5 of them made the decision to end their Youth journey a year early & step into Amateur Sat football to compliment their U21 development.
We wish them well & urge them to keep up the good work, all the best Jacob Burgoyne, Kyle Beattie, Lee Taggart, Josh Middler & Brogan Coates, 03 stalwarts!
Also good luck to Lachlan Taylor who as an 02 player has reached the end of youth footy, good luck with U21s & ammies 👍
The challenge this season has become one of survival due to lads above leaving along with remaining lads new commitments with work, Uni & the first season of an U18s league which has stopped the natural feed of younger 04 players coming up to 19s! We will give it our best shot!
