Sorry I haven’t posted on here for a while. Life has been busy for this old girl. I’ve had to concentrate on another business interest of mine to pull it through the after effects of the covid-19 pandemic and as a result I had to take a step back on the PT business.

As a result I hardly train like I use too but my NEAT is consistent (non exercise activity thermogenesis ) - the energy expended from non sports like exercise, sleeping and eating ie moving, walking, standing, fidgeting, manual work etc. I’m constantly on the go, lifting and carrying equipment, on my feet for long periods of time, walking fields, climbing fences, chasing animals 😂…

When I reflect back to 2020/2021, I was overtraining - training every day, sometimes two/three times per day in addition to teaching and instructing clients online. I was tired, cortisol levels elevated resulting in weight gain, low energy, poor sleep patterns, anxiety and no longer loving my job and passion for fitness as felt so drained all the time. In addition struggling with lower back issues.

Moving forward …
❤️My sleep is improved
❤️Shed my weight gain
❤️Stress levels are reduced
❤️Increased energy levels
❤️Overall well-being has had a good overhaul

Here we are in 2022 and I’ve set myself one challenge this year - deferred my place from 2020 due to the pandemic but it’s gonna be my last Sunday long run 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I’m running the 2022 New York Marathon for Children with Cancer on November 6th.

I will be back out on the pavements/roads from the end of July when I embark on my 16 week training plan. Gonna take it steady so advance warning you will get some running updates heading your way and pleas for sponsorship .. but remember I’m doing it for a very worthwhile cause. I ran London for CwC in 2019 and was overcome with emotion running with the beads of courage from a little one who was currently being treated for cancer at the time. That’s why I do it and I need you lovely lot to be with me every step of the way .
