Had a more proactive summer working in the hills this year.Then joined a trip as a punter, (jagged globe), to visit Upper Mustang in Nepal.So once again plodded slowly up to over 6000m.No summit for any of the team this time but of course like any mountain anywhere, summits are always just very much a 'nice to have'. The journey in this case was pretty epic.....😆
Go have adventures. Finding you are more capable than you think and safely pushing beyond your limits a little is good for you.😁

Has been zipping about a bit for various things....😁If you plan on climbing mountains take a map and compass and know how to use them.....if you don't know how to navigate then it is worth learning. Feel free to contact us if you want a relaxed day looking at basic nav.😊

Bit of D of E/FREC4 work recently in the South East.And a brief escape to the Lakes.Bimbled over Scafell Pike,Broad Crag,Wetherlam,Swirl How and Wansfell Pike...lovely places-all entirely possible for most people with a bit of careful planning,the right kit and navigation skills.

Had a 'wellness' day post covid!So went for a slow bimble up Y Ro Wen😁.Being sensible and aware of ones limitations, the ability to navigate in poor conditions, careful planning and weather interpretation, factoring in escape routes,the willingness to retreat, dynamically risk assessing the conditions and carrying and wearing the right kit means you really don't always have to hide from the weather!

Post covid bimble.It may be rainy but its still nice out😁👍As we are in the run up to xmas and Atkinson Outdoors is running round between various hilly places, walks and navigation sessions will start again in the new year.😊
