We are incredibly proud to share that 4 of our students — Leah Tunnicliffe, Shay Wright, Lexie Goodfellow and Kianna Fajilagot — were specially invited by the International Dance Teachers’ Association to compete at the IDTA Championships in Milton Keynes this year, after achieving exceptional examination scores of over 95% last year.
The championships bring together dancers from across the UK who have all achieved these outstanding marks, making the standard of competition incredibly high.
Unfortunately Leah was unable to attend, however Lexie, Shay and Kianna proudly represented the school, each competing within their own age category.
Although Lexie Goodfellow did not place this time, reaching the championships itself is an incredible achievement and we are so proud of how beautifully she represented the school on such a prestigious event.
A huge congratulations to:
🥇 Kianna Fajilagot — 1st Place Winner and £150.00 in her age category 16-17years
Kianna competed in a class of 35 dancers, progressing through to the final 12 semi-finalists and then into the final 6 dancers selected to perform her solo in the final round — an absolutely incredible achievement.
🥇 Shay Wright — 1st Place Winner and £150.00 in his age category up to 13years
Shay competed in a class of 26 dancers, progressing through to the final 12 semi-finalists and then into the final 6 dancers selected to perform his solo in the final round
