When PCT Coaching began back in 2016, we could never have imagined what it would become.
It started with a simple request. While working in a first-team environment, our Head Coach was asked to support a player with some position-specific work. From those sessions, an idea was born — and the rest, as they say, is history.
Originally built around Players, Coaches and Teams, PCT started out at a local park with a simple ambition: to help people improve and give them opportunities to become the best they could be.
That ambition grew.
From those early sessions came the vision of creating an indoor facility where technical development, position-specific coaching and strength and conditioning could all come together under one roof.
Today, we’re incredibly proud to have a 6,000 sq ft facility, a team of 15 individual development coaches and our own football club supporting eight teams, from U7s through to open age.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
⚽️ More than 60 players signed to academies.
🌍 Two players going on to represent their countries.
🏆 Experience supporting professional players across the WSL and League One and Two.
📈 Coaches progressing into first-team environments, full-time academy roles and building businesses of their own.
Every one of those achievements means something to us. Every player, every coach, every opportunity and every step forward represents time, trust, commitment and countless hours of work behind the scenes.
Because PCT has never been just about football. It’s always been about people.
Our purpose is to develop every person who comes through our doors - players, coaches and parents alike. We believe in sharing knowledge, continuing to learn and using education, qualifications and experience to give people the best possible support.
But perhaps the most important part of this journey is the reason we started in the first place.
Our Head Coach wanted to create something he wished he’d had himself: a chance.
A chance to learn.
A chance to improve.
A chance to be supported.
A chance to fall in love with the game and see just how far it could take you.
Ten years later, that remains at the heart of PCT 💙⚽️
