What a fantastic day of training with our incredible foster carers! 👏

Today, alongside Beth, Clare, Hayley & Sarah, we explored some of the most important aspects of fostering:

🛡️ Allegations – understanding processes and protecting everyone involved.

💬 Disclosures – responding with sensitivity, confidence and care.

📞 Reporting Lines – knowing who to contact, when and why.

📝 Fostering Logs – a brilliant group consultation, sharing experiences, reflecting on practice and exploring what great recording really looks like!

💚 The highlight? The knowledge, honesty, engagement and commitment in the room!

Our foster carers never fail to impress us with their dedication to learning, reflecting and continually improving the care they provide.

Because fostering isn’t just about opening your home – it’s about continually growing, learning and making a difference in children’s lives. 🌈

This week, we’re celebrating the wonderful birth children in our Evergreen families.

They share their homes, their families, their time and so many everyday moments with the children welcomed into their lives.

This week is all about recognising them, celebrating their contribution and making sure they know just how valued they are.

Because at Evergreen, we believe every member of the fostering family matters. 🌿

🌈 We’re so excited to introduce our NEW Sensory & Therapy Room! 🧸💫

For children and young people in foster care, the world can sometimes feel overwhelming. Many have experienced trauma, loss, uncertainty or big emotions that they may not yet have the words to explain. ❤️‍🩹

That’s why creating a safe, calming and nurturing environment is so important. 💕

Our new Sensory & Therapy Room is more than just a beautiful space. It’s a place where children can:

🌈 Feel safe, secure and supported

🧸 Explore their senses through play

💚 Learn ways to manage big emotions

✨ Build confidence, trust and emotional resilience

🤗 Feel understood without having to find the words

Because sometimes, healing doesn’t begin with a conversation… it begins with feeling safe. 💚

In foster care, it’s not just about providing a roof over a child’s head. It’s about creating spaces where children feel valued, listened to, loved and understood.
