Over the past week Ben & Haydn have been studying at Oxford university of sport.

A course lectured by John gibbons the legend him self.

Mathew attending Apex gym sports therapy room.

Mathew is a regular gym goer who does lots of training but not much work for recovery. Explaining why his range of motion is very poor.

Due to his poor range of motion this has caused a niggling pain in his shoulder and lower back. After a assessment we established why the pain was agrivating during his pressing movements in training.

Today we used a combination of muscle energy techniques and rock blades, allowing us to get deep into the muscle facia. Breaking into the muscles that were lacking blood flow and restoring it to it's original length.

Happy customer with his treament, a treatment plan to follow to help improve his future mobilitly, reducing the chances of any further injuries.

Core movement patterns are now presenting you with a chest workshop starting on Tuesday the 26th march at 19.45pm.

This workshop is designed to show you how to:
• Deconstruct the body and taking your body through extensive libraries of exercise.
• Improving posture correction.
• Learning the potential of self-myofascial release.
• Learning the biomechanics, activations and specialist phases for your chest.
• Program design of ex*****on and cues to maximize your potential.

This workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 people. You will receive one session a week for a number 4weeks. You will also receive a full pdf booklet with in depth details of training and log books to track your progress.

So this is Jackie and her 2nd week of rehab.

Jackie early this year suffered from some back pain from her accident she had last year, after 16 sessions of private physio due to her injuries she has made a significant recovery.

Her biggest goal is to get back into full training, however she doesn't feel confident enough to do it alone in the gym. Now she's been signed off from the physio she feels intimidated by the bigger movements hurting her back.

This is where we can step in, being able to regress movements back down to basics, building the foundations strong again aligning you for bigger movements with load.

Week 1 we went through a range of tests where we found a few limitations and we provided her with a full worksheet. Video demonstrations instructing her how to perform each mobility exercise safely. We thoroughly went through each exercise making sure she felt comfortable and at ease.

Week 2 after improving jackies mobility and ranges with out pain, we have now finally started to build in some functional movements, improving her core stability and back strength.

We will continue to assess Jackies movements and look at more challenging exercises each week to ensure we have sufficient progress.
