The academy has taken the decision that we will not be opening up any new spaces for 2024.

BUT

We plan to hold an open evening in January 2025 when we look to re launch the DartsInStoke Darts Academy.

Superb end of season 5 night at the academy with the players and coaches playing in the 501 DIDO Gauntlet event.

Riley took the overall prize for winning, but a shoutout to Bailey who just come up short by 2 games from winning it all after a superb performance.

When we set the DartsInStoke Darts Academy up our hope was that one day we would have a player come to the Academy and progress, we started to then have players go to County Youth, and then we hoped that one day a player would then progress to the County Senior team also and complete the pathway......

Who knows if this will one day happen!!!!!!!

WERE BACK....

Yes the academy is back on tonight, we are now back to full capacity after a few players have come and gone etc over the last few weeks (well month and a bit)

Tonight we have the 9DC as always with Steve, and then we go into a game which Shaun thinks will either go good or flop completely but it's darts and we "Dont do Darts"

Then its Week 5 of Season 5 of the JDC which we are delighted to be an accredited darts academy of here in Stoke, with a Qualified and Accredited darts coach to help the younger players of the area get more from their game of darts.

We still have our waiting list for spaces which we use when one becomes available, players have to be aged 8-17 to join us on a Monday night here at Longton Snooker Club 6:00pm - 7:30pm

We have a Junior Darts Academy for players aged 8-17 every Monday night here in Stoke on Trent, run by a qualified darts coach.

Superb to see 4 Academy players in the current County Youth squad.

A reminder to all that we are now on the summer break so there is no darts academy now for a few weeks..

Opportunity for the coaches to think of more terrifying ways to play darts when we don't actually play darts!

End of another season and a superb finish.

We had a handful of players who before the session were on the edge of a possible grade up.

Well done to

Jack who grades up to Red,
Archie who grades up to Yellow,
Riley who grades up to Red,
Ben who grades in at Green,

Well done to all players, hard work and practice pays off in the end.

We are now into our summer break and we are back first week of September.

Another superb Monday night and we got the players thinking with our session plan this week, which we are happy to share below.

So we wanted the players to tell us how they would check out certain checkouts and we got a few different suggestions and a few interesting ones which we are going to compile together and grade and let SWR Darts Coaching have a try at on his next TikTok LIVE

We also welcomed 2 new players and invited another 2 players to possibly take spaces which will take us back to maximum.

All good times at the DartsInStoke Darts Academy.
