🏏 U9s travel to Codsall looking to continue their fantastic team performances.
🏏 1st XI are back home to host Elworth.
🏏 2nd XI hit the road for a tough trip to Market Drayton.

Sunday
🏏 U13s travel to Blythe looking to build on another brilliant team display last weekend.
🏏 Sunday XI are back at home taking on Stafford in a friendly.

Midweek Results 🏏💚💛

A busy week for our juniors and ladies, with plenty of positives to take from both games!

🌟 U11s vs Stafford CC
A tough result, but some fantastic individual performances:
🏏 Heath Locker top-scored across both teams with the bat.
🎯 With the ball, Heath delivered a brilliant spell of 3 overs, 2 wickets for just 10 runs.

👏 Great effort from the whole team, who continue to improve every week.

💚 Ladies vs Newcastle & Hartshill CC Ladies
An incredibly close game that could have gone either way!

🙌 A huge positive in the field as the ladies took 3 catches from 3 chances – a perfect catching display.
🔥 Another strong all-round team performance, with everyone contributing in a narrow defeat.

🏏 SUNDAY RESULTS 🏏

🔴 U13s Lost by 58 Runs
Another fantastic team effort from our juniors. 💚
The result didn’t go our way, but the attitude, energy and teamwork on display continues to be a credit to the club. Keep going, Heathens! 👏

🟢 T20 WON by 7 Runs vs Eccleshall
What a game! 💪
🏏 Aqib Ali led the way with a superb 65 from 45 balls, while Waz anchored the innings with 38 from 41.
🔥 Aqib then completed an outstanding all-round performance with 2 wickets for just 12 runs from his 4 overs to help secure a thrilling victory.

🔴 T20 Lost by 67 Runs vs NHCC
A tough end to the day, but there were still standout performances.
⭐ Khalid (Muhammad Raja) continued his excellent form, finishing with 3 wickets for 19 runs from his 4 overs, proving once again why he’s such a dangerous bowler.

💚 One win, some brilliant individual performances and another day of great effort from everyone representing MHCC.

🏏 SATURDAY RESULTS 🏏

🟢 U9s WON by 36 Runs
A fantastic all-round team performance from our youngest Heathens! 💚
⭐ Henry Millington led the way with the bat, finishing as the top scorer across both teams, but it was a brilliant effort from everyone to secure another win.

🔴 1st XI Lost by 71 Runs
Chasing 223 was always going to be a tough task, but Shoaib Ali (53) and Josh Renshaw (44) put together a superb 79-run partnership to keep MHCC in the contest. 👏
🎉 A special mention for Shaj, who picked up his first wicket for MHCC – hopefully the first of many!

🔴 2nd XI Lost by 5 Wickets
After being bowled out for 80, with Azaan Maroof top scoring with 36, the team showed tremendous character in the field.
💪 Defending a low total, the wickets were shared around in a real team bowling effort as MHCC claimed 5 wickets and made Stafford battle hard for the victory.

💚 Results may not have all gone our way, but the commitment, fight and team spirit across all three sides was there for all to see.

Another fantastic Sunday for MHCC with victories for both our U13s and Sunday XI! 👏

✅ MHCC won by 56 runs

A brilliant all-round team performance, with Austin Millington leading the way with the ball:

An outstanding spell that helped secure another great win for our young Heath side.

✅ MHCC won by 8 wickets

The Sunday XI were superb in the field, bowling Blythe out for just 89 runs.

📊 10 overs, 4 maidens, 20 runs

A quality spell that set the platform for victory.

With the bat, the chase was made to look comfortable thanks to:

🏏 John Stephenson – 43 not out*
🏏 Zeeshan – 32 not out*

Guiding the team home unbeaten and securing another win for the Heath.

💚 And how good is this… father and son Steve & Austin Millington both picking up 4 wickets for MHCC on the same day! We absolutely love the family atmosphere at our club, and this is exactly what MHCC is all about. 👏👨‍👦

🏏 SATURDAY RESULTS 💚💛

Two narrow 3-wicket defeats, but both sides showed incredible fight in the field after being just short with the bat.

1st XI
Lost by 3 wickets to Moddershall.

After posting a modest total, the lads produced an outstanding effort with the ball and very nearly pulled off a remarkable win.

⭐ Josh – 2 wickets & 3 maidens to get us right back in the game
⭐ Asim Ali – 11 overs, 4 maidens, 10 runs, 2 wickets and a superb one-handed catch
⭐ Uwais Mukhtar – 3 wickets to keep the pressure on

The bowling unit was exceptional, giving away very little and turning the game into a real nail-biter right until the closing stages.

2nd XI
Lost by 3 wickets to Oakamoor.

John Britton led the batting with a brilliant 48 runs, before the bowlers nearly produced a stunning comeback.

⭐ Waz – 2 wickets for just 7 runs from 3 overs
⭐ Jan – 3 overs, 1 maiden, 2 runs, 1 wicket
⭐ Every bowler took at least one wicket

The bowling attack shared the wickets around brilliantly and never let Oakamoor get comfortable, making them work hard for every run.

Not the results we wanted, but the bowling performances from both teams showed real quality, character and determination.

The game-changing moment.

With MHCC Phoenix defending just 88 runs, Stone SP looked to be cruising at 39-2 and closing in on victory.

Then Khalid took the ball.

In the space of just 12 deliveries, Khalid completely transformed the game. His devastating spell ripped through the batting line-up, turning a likely defeat into a famous Phoenix victory.
