We’ve teamed up with Met Office to help you get for summer.

Many parts of the nation are set to enjoy warm and sunny weather this weekend and over the next week. As many of us spend more time with family outdoors, whether that’s for a run, a waterside walk or an open water swim, it’s important to stay safe.

Before you go, take a few minutes to refresh your water safety knowledge. It could make all the difference in an emergency.

Take part in this years Big Swim for Dougie Mac 💛💚

Hannah Jones took part in our Big Swim last year in memory of her dad, Keith. 💛

“Dougie Mac didn’t just care for my dad—they cared for all of us. The difference they made is hard to put into words. They gave my dad comfort and dignity, and they gave us reassurance and support when we needed it most. That’s something we’ll carry with us forever, and a big part of why this challenge meant so much to me.”

“I decided to take on the Big Swim because felt like a meaningful way to give something back, in a sport I enjoyed with my dad. I wanted to do something that wasn’t just about remembering my dad, but about honouring him in a way that could help others going through something similar.”

Hannah and a team of instructors from Hannah Jones Swim Academy raised over £1,200 to help support other local families. ✨

We have some absolute beginner group lesson spaces available on a Saturday afternoon. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis—please note we no longer operate a waiting list.

We have a maximum of 6 in the group with two teachers in the water. 💦
