As a legacy of the Stoke-on-Trent centenary parkruns held last June, there are plans to start a new junior parkrun in Bucknall Park in Stoke-on-Trent.
The next step is to find volunteers to be part of the team.

🏐 Active Stoke are hosting an open weekend this week at the leisure centres.

🏃 Come and explore a variety of wellbeing activities, health-focused initiatives, and fun opportunities for all ages. There will be plenty of freebies, prize giveaways and exclusive offers.

🗓️ The open days will take place at the following locations:
• The Wallace Sport & Education Centre (Friday 11th October)
• Dimensions Leisure Centre (Saturday 12th October)

As we get closer to Christmas/New Year, we are looking for volunteers for our next 4 events. We've had lots of offers of help so far but filling roles ahead of time would be brilliant:
Festive fancy dress on Saturday 23rd - timekeeper, finish tokens & parkwalkers.
Beth has organised another post-run cafe at Park Church so please join us for refreshments afterwards - everyone welcome.

Christmas Day on Monday 25th - timekeeper, funnel manager

Saturday 30th December - timekeeper, barcode scanner, finish tokens, marshals * 3

New Years Day on Monday 1st Jan - timekeeper, barcode scanners, marshals * 4, parkwalker

Most parkruns this weekend are joining in thr NHS 75th Birthday celebrations... you can run, walk and volunteer. Hanley, The Wammy, TG and Isabel Trail all joining in locally. Its a chance to say thank you to everyone who works in the health and care sectors too ... especially all the amazing Trotters who contribute so much to the NHS. Thanks for all you do.
