Our upgraded practice facilities are now open!
Although the weather has played its part our new 16 bay huxley.golf astro-turf facility is in use along with our covered area for additional play with woods, hybrids and teaching. 🏌️‍♀️
The new turfed areas, including raised chipping space needs a little longer to knit together, but this facility will be a real asset to those who love to practice! ⛳️
Now just need some warmth and sunshine to bring it all together 🙌

We were pleased to meet with Councillors Dan Jellyman and Maxine Clark this week regarding the Club’s land that is currently being considered as part of Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Local Plan process.

We understand that the possibility of development has caused concern for some local residents. We value our place within the local community and appreciate the opportunity to better understand those concerns through open discussion with our local representatives.

The Club’s Directors have a legal responsibility to act in the best interests of Trentham Golf Club and its members. This includes carefully considering opportunities relating to land that is not currently used as part of the golf course. Any steps taken would be approached thoughtfully and responsibly.

If the Council ultimately decides to identify the site for housing development through the Local Plan process, we would be committed to ensuring that any future proposals are designed with sensitivity to neighbouring homes and the wider area.

A range of detailed technical assessments, including highways, flood risk and ecological studies, would be undertaken to understand any potential impacts and ensure that these can be properly addressed as part of the design process.

We would also seek to ensure that any proposals brought forward provide meaningful benefits to the wider community, such as new publicly accessible open space.

It is important to stress that allocation within the Local Plan would not grant planning permission. Any future application would go through a full planning process, with further opportunities for local residents to review and comment on detailed proposals.

We will continue to engage openly with the Council and with our neighbours as matters progress.

For those who don’t mind the rain, the greens have been mown this morning, clubhouse is open and the bar and kitchen await to warm you up after golf. 🌲
