🏆 DNA FINALS DAY 🏆
📍 Round 1 Recap – Saturday 9th SJYL 🤩
What a brilliant day for Team DNA yesterday. Across every age group and team, the effort, attitude, teamwork and football on show was outstanding. So many proud moments, fantastic performances and memories made 👏
⚫️ DNA MIAMI – Finalists
Miami were excellent throughout, playing some top football and going unbeaten in the group stages to reach both the semi-finals and final. Unfortunately they narrowly missed out in the final, but the team spirit, quality and effort from every player was superb. A fantastic achievement 👏
🟡 DNA PORTO – Semi Finalists
The lads had an outstanding tournament run, playing some brilliant football before narrowly falling short in the semis. Competing a year up and never looking out of place is a huge credit to this group. Plenty more to come from them next season 👏
⚫️ DNA MADRID – Group Stages
Madrid gave everything in a very tough group while playing a year up and battling illnesses and injuries with only 6 players available. The boys stayed true to the DNA playing style throughout and should be incredibly proud of their overall season 👏
🟡 DNA AJAX – Finalists
Ajax were fantastic from start to finish, showing real quality, determination and togetherness throughout the day. A dramatic penalty shootout win in the semi-final booked their place in the final, where they narrowly finished runners-up. A brilliant effort from all involved 👏
⚫️ DNA DORTMUND – Finalists
An unbelievable effort from Dortmund competing in the top tier. The boys dominated games, played some outstanding football and reached the final, only to lose on penalties (5-4). That’s tournament football, but what an achievement and season for this group 👏
🟡 DNA ATHLETICO – Semi Finalists
Athletico grew stronger with every game in a very tough group. Playing some excellent football along the way, the boys reached the semi-finals and narrowly missed out on a final place by just one goal. Incredible determination from a team playing a year up 👏
⚫️ DNA INTER – Semi Finalists
Inter topped their group unbeaten with a series of dominant performances full of confidence and quality. Unfortunately they lost out in the semis to eventual winners DNA Celtic, but the boys should be proud of a fantastic tournament playing a year up 👏
🟡 DNA CELTIC – WINNERS 🏆
After a mixed start in the group stages, Celtic really came alive when it mattered most — winning both their semi-final and final in style to become cup winners! The group handled every challenge brilliantly and showed exactly what they’re capable of. What a day for them 👏
⚫️ DNA BOCA – Finalists
A superb effort from Boca, who finished top of their group after some dominant displays. A confident 2-0 semi-final win sent them into an all-DNA final against Bayern, where they narrowly lost 1-0. This group has improved massively this season and deserve huge credit 👏
🟡 DNA BAYERN – WINNERS 🏆
An incredible day for Bayern competing a year up in a very strong U13s group. The boys battled all day, showing determination and resilience to reach the final against DNA Boca, coming out on top with a 1-0 victory to lift the trophy. A brilliant achievement 👏
A massive thank you to Staffordshire Junior Football League for organising a fantastic finals day, and thank you to all referees, opposition teams and parents for helping make it such a great occasion ❤️
