Guided Canoe trips. Paddleboards. River Guides. Group & School activities and Wild Camps. 'Getting you out there!' That's our mission. Whether you are a total beginner or seasoned adventurer, we have the gear and local knowledge to set you off so you have the best experience of our magnificent River Dart estuary, regarded as one of the most beautiful in the country, with its wildlife, history, stu
nning views, fresh air, peace and quiet and, if you want it, a good workout. We will ensure you set off well informed and well equipped, on a route suited to your experience and ability. Our staff are experienced, qualified local river guides and skippers who know how to make sure people have a great time, working around the varying winds and tides we experience here. This is is not like renting pedalos on an urban lake; this is coastal Britain at its best and we know how to make it accessible to a wide range of people. We are passionate about 'getting you out there' whoever you are. If you are coming down to South Devon on holiday, visiting Totnes, Dartmouth, Torbay, or if you live in the local villages along the Dart this is a real must on your "Days out/things to do in South Devon". Get yourself to the riverside pubs, villages and wild spots in the way they're supposed to be reached - by river transport. On the water you can get away from the noise, hassle, and traffic jams to take in the beautiful views and get to your destination relaxed and ready to explore! We also hire paddleboards and canoes. And we offer Guided Canoe trips. No body need be left on the shore. If kayaking is not for everyone in your group, how about one of our giant canoes? Dryer and more stable than a kayak and with one of our experienced Skippers to look after you, we can get your whole party out on the water; all the generations (2weeks to 90+years old). Each canoe takes 6-12 people and we can get 60 adults out on the water at any one time, 69 if including little tiny people! We can also provide river guides to accompany you in your own canoes or kayaks, or those that you hire from us. River School activities include adventure activities on the water, bushcraft activities on the shore and wild camping. Our staff can adapt to your group, be it a school or adult group, or a mixture.
