We are absolutely gutted to announce that the club will be folding with immediate effect.

Our time may come again but at least for the current season our best efforts to get the team on track haven’t been enough and so this is a goodbye from all of us at Castle Loyale FC.

We’d like to thank every single person that has been a part of this very unique footballing journey, so many people have come in to the club and given their all, making it all that much special to be a part of.

The club may be folding but the memories and the family that we have built within it are going to stay with all of us for a long long time!

The result on Saturday gone

Going into this game we always new the opposition were going to be up for this game and make it difficult. E were able to keep them at bay for a good 40 minutes until they managed to score before half time

Second half came along and we continued to concede. Still managing to make change and struggling to put them away. The only goal came from a great individual run from Jamie Faulkner ⚽️who blitzed down the left hand side to score our only goal

Players MOTM 🏆was awarded to Jamie Faulkner who had a great performance in midfield and scoring the only goal

Managers MOTM 🏆was awarded to Simon McLean who had a great day in defence clearing everything at his path and even getting a chance on goal himself

Dick of the day 🤡 was awarded to Jack Arnold for missing an absolute sitter of a chance in the second half, ball came across to him and had all the time in the world all he had to do was place it in the net but skys it

Yesterdays result from the game against St Teath 2nds.

Two sweet princess to let us down for the goals scored against us. However managed to put one in the net ourselves with a penalty scored by Jack Arnold ⚽️

Build up play for us was good managed to get up the pitch well just chances and finishing want up to par for us.

Congratulations to Kieran Mitchell🏆🏆 for winning both managers and players player of the match. Worked very hard on the wing and was very creative.

St Teath seconds also gave their player of the match to a returning Jack Broad 🏆who made his return yesterday after an Achilles injury. He came on at right wing and instantly start causing problems for the defence

Dick of the day was awarded to Harry Bendell 👀😂

We are happy to have a look at a couple new players after seeing two players depart this month, one retiring and one deservingly taking the step up to Liskeard 1st.

We’d be happy to look at the following:

- A prolific CF to add quality competition to the side, tough competition but goals talk!

- A DM/CM to provide cover and some competition to our current options, two experienced and quality lads in there right now but we are extremely light in the position 👍

Any interest give the club a message and we can make sure it’s a good fit.

We are on the look out for a few new recruits to complete our squad for the coming season!

We are based at Duchy College in Stoke Climsland and will be winter training at the Callington 3G.

We were Duchy 2 last season and have been integrated to the new St Piran league structure.

We are wanting 4 new additions but are willing to look at players that can fill any of the following roles:

- A Centre back to provide cover and competition to our current options.

- A naturally Left footed Full Back with the quality to be very competitive for a place in the squad.

- A 2nd choice Goalkeeper to provide cover for our number 1. Sporadic games are guaranteed and one on one coaching is available with our GK coach for development. (happy to look at u18’s too)

- A well balanced Central midfielder with the Quality to give strong competition and rotation to our current midfield options.

- A forward to train and develop with the club and step in to the squad to cover any unavailability from our other 5 forwards, can expect to rotate in to the match day squad fairly regularly but games are not guaranteed. (Happy to look at younger players wanting to make the jump or players looking to return to fitness without expecting to play every week)

We have players from the Launceston, Callington and Plymouth areas so car share is usually available.

If you have any interest in the above feel free to get in touch and we can see if it’s a good fit for both parties.

Regular training and perfect attitudes are a must 👍
