Our Story

Briarwood Stables is a fully licensed and insured family run Riding School, Stud and Livery Yard in Redmarshall near Stockton on Tees. With an outdoor arena, beautiful private off road gallops and plenty of on road hacking in the immediate area it has a lot to offer everyone.

The Riding School caters for all standard of rider from absolute beginners to experienced rider. Children and adults are all welcome to join group or private lessons, families can ride together and more experienced riders can go on an accompanied hack on the off road gallops and are invited to join in our show jumping competitions through the summer months. Throughout the school holidays Pony Days and other activities are organised and gift vouchers are available and include a Briarwood gift card.

Show jumping competitions are held monthly throughout the summer months and are planned to encourage new competitors and tiny tots as well as the more experienced competitor. With classes to suit all abilities from pole and tiny cross pole up to 95cm, we run fun classes when requested so far we have included, pairs and down and out into some of our events. Very friendly, supportive atmosphere with encouragement given to all riders from both staff and spectators

Livery, we have indoor and outdoor stabling, and liveries have the use of both arenas and our private off road country tracks. Ad lib haylege and straw and 24/7 turnout through the summer months. Our helpful, experienced, knowledgeable team are always around to offer support and advice, riding instructors and show jumping competitions on site
