🧡🖤 SOME DEFEATS HURT… BUT SOME MOMENTS MAKE YOU INCREDIBLY PROUD. 🧡🖤

Today our under 15 boys walked onto the pitch knowing they had another opportunity to lift a cup🏆

They fought their way all the way to the Ariana Rea Cup Final — and once again, unfortunately, we found ourselves on the wrong side of the result, going down 1–0 to Cargo Fleet👏👏

Of course it hurts. Nobody wants to lose a cup final.

But standing on the touchline today, watching these lads play football with the confidence, belief and quality we've been working so hard to develop, there was something far more important than the result…
PRIDE.

Because these boys are becoming a team 🙏🙏

The football they played was genuinely something to be proud of. The passing, movement, bravery on the ball and the way they tried to play from the first minute to the last was fantastic.

And then there was Layton Scarth 😎

What a lad.

He gave absolutely everything today. Every run. Every challenge. Every ounce of energy he had.
And when it looked like the game was slipping away from us, when all seemed lost…
LAYTON DID WHAT LAYTON DOES.
🎯 ANOTHER 40-YARD WORLDIE! 🚀🔥

A strike that gave us hope and reminded everyone exactly what these boys are capable of.

That goal wasn't just a great goal.
It represented belief.
Never giving up.
Never accepting that the game is over.
And that's exactly what we want to instil in every single one of these lads.

⚽ Cargo Fleet v Primrose Hill — Annual Round Robin! 🧡🖤
What an absolutely brilliant night of grassroots football! ⚽🔥
Our annual Cargo Fleet v Primrose Hill round robin brought together four of our teams, and what a night it turned out to be!

🧡 U7s
Our youngest team have improved massively and absolutely dominated their game. We don't really keep scores at this age, but let's just say we were convincingly on top! 😍 The development these boys and girls are showing is fantastic.

🖤 U9s
A tough one for our U9s against a very strong Cargo Fleet side. They were beaten convincingly, but these are exactly the games that help young players learn, develop and come back stronger. 💪⚽

🧡 U10s
What a performance and what great character! Some brilliant football on display, and the boys battled right until the end to finish with a 2–2 draw. 👏🔥
Then it all came down to...

🔥 THE U15s 🔥
An absolute THRILLER from start to finish!
Cargo Fleet opened the scoring with a beautifully timed run and a very cool finish — possibly against the run of play.
But Primrose responded brilliantly.
Charlie Bradshaw looked up, spotted the keeper off his line and produced an absolutely sublime chip from 20–25 yards! 🎯 What a finish!
Primrose looked solid all over the pitch and produced a dominant first half, going into the break 2–1 up. After Layton scarfs 25 yarder found the back of the net
The lads came out for the second half looking to continue that dominance and soon made it 3–1. Again Georgie pinging it into the top bin with the goal of the night 😜
But Cargo Fleet weren't finished...
They found another gear, pressed forward and pulled one back to make it 3–2.
Then came the moment nobody wanted — a cheeky corner caught Primrose napping and suddenly it was 3–3! 😱
With the full moon shining above us 🌕 and the game being played in darkness 🫣, there was only one way to settle it...
⚽ PENALTIES!
And after all that drama, Cargo Fleet came out on top. 👏

So, from U7s winning, U9s losing, U10s drawing, it all rested on our U15s to decide the night — and they gave everyone a game to remember!
Massive respect to Cargo Fleet for being fantastic hosts. 🤝⚽

An amazing night, brilliant football, plenty of laughs, some heartbreak and, most importantly, young players getting the opportunity to play, learn and enjoy the game we all love.
We'll be back! 🧡🖤
