𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬

For the first time in the 2026/27 No
North East Regional Women’s Football League season our Reserves are in home action.

We started the season with a strong 3-0 win last weekend away to Teesside neighbours Hartlepool United and are aiming to build upon that momentum with the first taste of home action as we host newly promoted North Shields Athletic at Station Road.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘

Following a win on the opening day of the North East Regional Women’s Football League season, our Reserves take to the pitch at Station Road for the first time this weekend.

On Sunday we welcome newly promoted North Shields Athletic to Norton for our second game in the Northern Division of NERWFL. The visitors started life in Tier 6 with a 3-1 defeat against Washington so will be coming to Teesside looking to bounce back and get their first points on board.

We are back at Station Road as we turn our attention to league action in Division One North of the FA Women’s National League, following on from Sunday’s win against York in the FAWNL League Cup.

We welcome AFC Fylde to Teesside this weekend. The newly promoted side have had the dream start to life back in FAWNL with 3 wins from 3 in the league to sit second behind current league leaders Leeds United on goal difference only.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Station Road as we enjoy a spell of games at home following a period of games on the road. Entry is £6 for Adults and £3 for Concessions for the cup game

𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙔𝙀𝙍 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝘾𝙃

Yesterday ensured we remained on top of Group U in the FA Women’s National League Cup with a 4-2 win over York City to sit on a maximum of 6 points from the two games with a goal difference of +8.

Sacha Millward, who has hit the ground running since her return from America in the summer, scored twice and grabbed an assist within the first 15 minutes to see us race into a three goal lead. The forward added her second assist of the afternoon for our fourth goal. Her two goals and two assists on top of the constant threat and additional chances created meant that she was deservedly awarded the Player of the Match Award for her performance.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧

The Reserves got off to a winning start in the opening game of the 2026/27 North East Regional Women’s Football League. Toddy’s game saw senior football debuts for both Jas Salmon and Dana Williams who at just 16 years old have both been on the bench for the First Team this season.

The opening goal came early in the game when last seasons top scorer, Robyn Wrigley, got herself off the mark for the season to settle any opening day nerves. The side went into the break with a two goal cushion as summer arrival Neve Pawlett grabbed the second of the afternoon. The game was sealed in the second half when Emily Hannah scored with little under 20 minutes left to play to ensure the three points came back to Norton.

The Reserves are back in action next weekend as they return to Station Road to face newly promoted North Shields.
