💙💛 MATCH REPORT 💛💙
We start our Premier League campaign with an unbelievable display and solid 4 1 away win against Northallerton Town! 🔥
The game kicked off with plenty of stoppage for players wearing jewellery 🤦♀️ which wont be happening again 😅
TIBS started the strongest putting plenty of pressure on the opponents and having plenty of chances, but a tackle in the box saw the home side get a penalty. The striker stepped up, but Holly was able to save and clear the ball!! 🧤🔥
Then TIBS shifted into 5th gear!
A perfect ball played in from Hannah Allan in the center of the field, which Jess Baker was able to run on to and take into the box, slipping it under the keeper into the bottom left corner.
Northallerton equalised moments later after shouts for a bad challenge which saw our center back Izzy go off injured, but the goal stood. Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏
Kelsie Thorpe then took a free kick around our left wing position which the keeper saved, but parried into the path of super Hannah Allan who slotted into the net regaining our lead!
Hannah then doubled her goal tally, after being in the perfect place at the perfect time to sn**ch the ball from the keeper and put into the net!
With around 7 minutes left of the 1st half left, TIBS won another free kick, this time on the right. Hannah swung the ball into the back post area which bobbled around and Kelsie Thorpe was able to open her 2026/27 account too!

The second half saw no more goals, however, apart from keeping resilient throughout and maintaining their shape, TIBS were able to keep out Northallerton, and was unlucky not to add to their goal tally.
One thing though, captain Jodie Dent. WOW! WHAT. A. CLEARANCE.!! Moment of the season contender in the 1st game after her goal line clearance after sprinting 25 yards to a ball steaming towards our empty net. Amazing defending!
So proud of this performance and the ladies will take this momentum into next weeks game, away v Redcar Athletic!
