Match Report: Hayfield Ladies vs HGCC Ladies, 23/06/26
Tuesday night saw the ladies travel into the hills to take on Hayfield on a very warm & sticky night 🥵☀️
Losing the toss we were put in to field.
It was a hard session with runs hitting regularly, we worked hard covering each other and the boundary well and unfortunately managed to log only 2 wickets, courtesy of 2 catches off Deyna and Alice’s bowling 👏 We were a little unlucky at times and were close to getting more. Hayfield finished on 333-2.
Onto the batting, and again it was a graft. The first 2 pairs battled hard to get runs where they could, poor Becs unable to run after getting injured when fielding ☹️ and Deyna stepping in for running duties before going on to bat herself which she displayed a great effort! 🙌 Lindsay continued to display her trademark strength at the crease.
The third pair of Georgia & Alice showed good craft and communication keeping the scoreboard moving, our final pair of Lauren and Laura smashed it to all parts (with ‘some’ running in between too) to bring us home taking 39 in the final paring. We finished on what ended to be a respectable 293-2 after a very tough day at the office!👍Keep your heads up ladies!

Pushing harder and bagging boundaries with stunning shots all around the ground, finished off with incredible communication from both - well done the pair of you, ture teamwork ❤️😎
