❌️ American vs Conventional Swings

Stop hurting your lower back with American swings.

The video on the left shows the American style. People squat down and pull the weight overhead using their shoulders.

This is a common beginner mistake that wastes energy and strains your joints.

The video on the right shows the proper conventional style. It is a hip hinge, not a squat.

Here is why the conventional swing is safer and stronger:

Uses the glutes: Power comes from snapping your hips forward.

Protects the spine: A solid hinge keeps your lower back safe.
