et to the next, buying gadgets, supplements, juices, DVD's. My weight was never stable, I would exercise like crazy for a few months alongside spending hundreds of pounds joining slimming clubs etc, lose weight then I'd lose motivation, fall off the wagon and pile every pound and some back on again. Because I was uneducated, misinformed and looking for quick fixes that are simply not sustainable in the long term. Over the past 5 years I, Melanie Duffy (self confessed straight talker) have witnessed the fitness industry become spread extremely thinly across gyms, boot camps, classes, personal training and the good old weight loss diet groups. Yet despite this burgeoning industry, the UK is now at it’s most overweight. Until now, the solutions offered haven’t fixed the problem. For a long time, the prohibitive cost of personal training meant that it was available only to a select few. Then came the disaster in Personal Training, where people were able to get qualified in six weeks; a period far to short to prepare anyone for the responsibility of other people’s health and fitness. So, when looking for a personal trainer you were likely to just be gambling away your hard earned cash on some bozo just trying to dive into your wallet. So here is the solution that will create the Mind & Body image you can be proud of…

If you want to take the short cuts to fat loss, you not only need to have the foundations in place that help you get results, but you must also understand harsh TRUTHS

1. Correct nutrition and preparation – Let’s get right to the truth of it; going on a weight loss plan and eating to support your training are two completely different things! 80% of fat loss and creating a firm body is down to eating in alignment with your lifestyle. When was the last time your gym, class instructor or even trainer even talked to you about how to do all of that? The great news is you do have time to prepare and eat right AS WELL as living a life you enjoy, you just need to learn how!

2. Support and accountability – This is the number one rule for anyone embarking on the journey to transform their life. Few gyms and training studios understand the important of this. However, Mel Duffy Fitness & Training keeps a private group that only clients can access; helping them pull together, stay on track and keep focussed.

Progressive training – Yes you can join a class, bootcamp or gym in or around Stockport, but does the instructor track your results, train you personally or in a small group of up to 4 people and post you strategy videos, recipes and motivational tips for success? One of the best things about coaching women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond…
is watching them realise they are capable of FAR more than they thought.

After a lovely break with my family, I’m officially back and my ladies-only small group PT sessions are fully back up and running this week 💪🏼🔥

My sessions are based at Cheshire Fitness Works in Hazel Grove and are designed for REAL women of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to those already training regularly.

No intimidating gym environment.
No pressure to “keep up.”

💜 ONE MONTH IN THE NEW GYM 💜

By the end of this week, it will officially be 4 weeks since we moved into our new home at Cheshire Fitness Works… and honestly, what a CRAZY month it’s been 🥹

I’ve met so many new faces, welcomed so many lovely women into the community, and I’m genuinely so grateful for every single person who has walked through those doors already.

To my existing clients — thank you for sticking with me through the move, the changes, the chaos, and the unknown. Your support has meant absolutely everything ❤️

When I started this business, I never imagined we’d grow into a community of 58 women. Fifty eight!! 🤯

And the best part? We’re only just getting started.

Trials reopen in June once I’m back from holiday, and I already know this community is going to keep growing with more amazing women wanting to feel stronger, fitter, healthier, and more confident in a safe, supportive environment 💪🏼

This isn’t about perfection.
It’s not about keeping up with everyone else.
It’s about showing up for yourself, building strength, and finding people who make you feel comfortable doing it.

So whether you’ve been with me for years, joined this month, or you’ve been quietly watching my posts wondering if now is your time… thank you 💜

Pushing Comfort zones look different for everyone 💜

For some women, it’s jumping into a muddy obstacle course with their friends…

For others, it’s simply walking through the door of a gym for the first time in years.

And honestly? Both take courage.

This weekend my team took on Born Survivor — mud, obstacles, freezing water and a LOT of laughs 🤣 But what I loved most was watching my clients push themselves beyond what they thought they could do.

That same energy is exactly what I see every week in my sessions too.

Because pushing yourself out of your comfort zone doesn’t have to mean crawling through mud or doing anything extreme…

Sometimes it looks like:

💜 booking your first trial session
💜 walking into a new environment feeling nervous
💜 picking up weights for the first time
💜 showing up despite low confidence
💜 doing something for you again after years of putting everyone else first

That’s why I’ve worked so hard to create a safe, supportive, ladies-only environment where women of all ages and fitness levels can build confidence at their own pace.

No intimidation.
No pressure to “keep up.”
Just encouragement, support and progress over perfection 💪

And fun… definitely plenty of fun 😂

Pushing a heavy prowler across the gym floor this morning 🔥

And she wasn’t the only one…

My ladies in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and even 70s were all doing this in today’s session 💜

A lot of women walk into my sessions believing they’re:
