A message from Andrew, Ollie’s father.
- In August of 2021, our dear son Ollie was hit by a car. The impact has been devastating for myself, Ollie’s Mum, his twin brother, and most of all, for our bright, funny, courageous Ollie.
-Such was the force of the impact for Ollie that, ten months on, he is still at Salford Royal Hospital in a neurological ward with serious physical and brain injuries. Ollie is a fighter.
-We are so grateful that he has made it this far. We could wish that this nightmare hadn’t happened but this is where we are and we will face whatever comes our way, together, as a family.
-To give Ollie the best chance at rehabilitation and to get quality back into his life, he will need specialist treatment throughout his journey which will be long and expensive. Ollie will take many small, maybe often painful steps toward his recovery.
-If we can take those steps with him, to help him rebuild his life, it will make a world of difference.
-So many people have reached out asking how they can support our strong boy during his time of need. We are immensely grateful to you all. Thank you 🙏
