๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ ๐Exercise really is the best medicine ๐๐ฅฐ
โ๏ธ This time of year can be particularly difficult for many reasons.
โ๏ธ As a summer person I always struggle with the dark mornings and evenings. It really can affect your energy levels, mood & motivation.
๐ฃ These are my top tips for maintaining well being during the dark, colder months:

Exerciseโฆ.. Exercise โฆโฆ. Exercise
When we exercise we produce feel good chemicals in the body ๐ Endorphins & Serotonin ๐ these chemicals boost our mood & have a role in managing pain.
๐Any movement is good movement!!!

Try and get some natural daylight โ๏ธ Even just a 10 minute walk outside can be enough to give us a boostโฆ. A short walk at lunch time can feel really good ๐

Stay hydrated โฆ. Our bodies are 75% water ๐ง so if we are dehydrated this can affect all of our body systems, especially our thinking & concentration ๐ง

Fuel yourself wellโฆ.. ๐ฅ Slow release foods can be helpful to sustain energy such as non-starchy vegetables (e.g. cauliflower, broccoli and spinach) brown rice, oats, cereals, nuts and seeds. ๐ฅฆ ๐ฅ

Stay connected ๐ฃ๏ธ itโs always good to talk! Make time to speak to friends & family, a good chat can always make us feel better!
