atwork and jumping). Students undertaking equestrian/agricultural studies form part of our working team. We operate a flexible care planning system for each horse, giving you peace of mind that you horse is receiving the best care possible. We have a purpose built "sick paddock" for horses needing rehab from box rest (30 x 30 feet), and small paddock turnout too. We also offer schooling/holiday livery. Lower Dale Beauty Room is also open to customers for a full range of spa/beauty treatments with the convenience of being able to book when you visit your horse………
Magpie Cottages are our luxury self catering cottages with SPA facilities (hot tub, infra-red sauna, aroma-steam room). Perfect for short breaks or those wanting to enjoy the tranquil riverside setting. Guests booking at Magpie Cottages & Spa may now bring their horses on holiday with them with our BHS “Horses Welcome” scheme. Facilities. There is stabling for 29 horses in two American style barns. Each stable boasts its own lockable tack room, automatic water feeder and rubber matting and there are 100 acres of excellent grazing (ALL EVERYDAY YEAR TURN-OUT). We cater for horses and ponies on a Full livery basis and can provide extras on request (see price list for details). We have a full sized, all weather floodlit manege, with dressage mirrors (sand/fibre surface) which is available to rent for visiting horses, alongside a five station horse walker, locked rug room, hot horse shower and dedicated farrier/clipping area, and solarium. Additionally we now offer a rapid rug washing and reproofing service at very competitive prices. We have a Combie-grass all weather EXPRESS EVENTING ARENA which is available to all livery clients. The only one in this area which includes a full set competition SHOW JUMPS and a set of WORKING HUNTER/CROSS COUNTRY OBSTACLES. Fully equipped heated rest room with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, shower, changing area and WC. The centre has parking facilities, CCTV and electric gates with pass number for added security. Fishing permits are available for river fishing along the perimeter of the equestrian centre (River Goyt) where there are various breeds including brown trout.
