Our Boy König (Keep The Faith ) has now done his first big tour international at Wellington Riding this week.
It’s always such an honour to ride under the Union Jack 🇬🇧 and with our homebred even more special.
Lots of new firsts for him, A trot up and all the excitement that goes with that, temporary stables with flappy roofs and it was stormy 🙈 and competing under top International Judges but he dealt with it all really well until the last day but I’ll get to that.
Grand Prix day I rode for a nice experience for him and that he would cope with the energy that comes with the big atmosphere shows that he isn’t used to just yet,he tried really hard and we did an Ok job and an International GP horse he became, I’m so proud but now the journey really starts 🦄❤️🇬🇧
Second day was Grand Prix Special day his first my first in 13 years I normally do the freestyles but he hasn’t got one yet so GPS it was.
Weather was horrendous but I ride him in all weathers so that’s no big deal but the noise from the cutlery in the tent and the umbrellas took him by surprise so the left side of the arena was a disaster but I felt just keep riding get to the end let him realise it’s all ok in there.We won’t talk about my mark but it’s a Marathon test and my fitness work with him and Equine rebalance therapy water treadmill that is based at Wellington Riding has paid off as he didn’t tire physically he was just a bit over awed but marched back to the stable super happy 🙈 horses eh 🤣
Over both tests what was so Lovley to read were the judges comments,Keep going he’s got talent! Impressive horse,Energetic horse, A shame your Lovely horse was spooked today.
Come on König together we can grow now and hopefully develop more confidence 💪
I’m competitive and used to ups and downs with the sport so I have to put it behind me and move onwards.
I came home with a fit, healthy, Happy horse who now is a muddy hippo whom I adore dearly 🤣 He will have a short break then onto Hartpury CDI 🇬🇧
Huge thank you to Yvonne Parsons who came to help we were exhausted for a long week but we had lots of laughs,hugs and not much food so hopefully a few pounds lighter too ! 🤣🤣

A couple of days at Wellington Riding Premier League with Mark Philpot’s and Nigel Sibley’s Total Ecstasy (Papou)
We did an Inter 2 each day today was in a downpour but he dealt with that just fine 😍 not our best scores as too many mistakes with so much energy that Paps likes to give 🙈
He is new to the level and no doubt he has incredible talent, we always get Lovley comments from the judges we have just got to do it with a bit less exuberance.
Onwards and upwards to the next one.

Really sad to hear of Udo’s Passing.
I spent many times there as a young rider training at their base in Germany.
He was a true horseman and trainer and I was lucky enough to train with both him and Christilot Boylen.
I learnt fast if I worked hard I would get to ride some of the best horses in the barn which I did . He would only teach me in German which was terrifying at first but I soon learnt ,he was an absolute professional and everything had to be done to perfection even cleaning the cob webs ! Evenings in his home or out to dinner he was a really kind fun and funny man.
I have wonderful memories of my times at Gammertshof.
When I moved to Germany back in 2012-2016 I would see him at competitions and he always had time with a smile to chat.

It was so fabulous to compete back at Hickstead again yesterday with König (Keep the Faith) Thank you Aster Events.
Wasn’t my day though the grey flower pots were gremlins, so many movements were effected but some good marks where he didn’t spook at them 🙈 Unfortunately I couldn’t do the arena walks it’s just something he needs to do he likes to check out arenas first !
The positives are so many he handled the walk to the arena the bridge the two different warm up arenas all these things used to be nervous for him but he was an absolute pro and just a happy boy even though we didn’t show our best with his lack of experience at the big shows this season is about getting that experience 🦄❤️

Very excited to say I get to ride International Grand Prix again !!!!
This time with our Homebred “Keep The Faith” (König)
It’s always an honour to represent your country and we will do our first one in the UK at Wellington Riding this June 🦄🥳🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Oh König you will be up against the best in the country but as your first one we are going to give him a great experience and hopefully show his potential too.
A huge team effort over the years from many people whom I’m very grateful too, you know who you are.

Total Ecstasy owned by Mark Philpot and Nigel Sibley only when and did his first Inter 2 at Wellington riding !! ❤️🦄💪
A couple of costly mistakes but also showing his talent.
With each horse I have my own journey, they all are different but to reach this level is always so much fun. Now time to develop get stronger and more confident before we move up to the Grand Prix.

König mine and Stuart Larks homebred had his first ever stay away show at Addington Premier League and he was an absolute star ⭐
Inter II the first day I used as a training class /arena familiarisation day as he hasn’t much experience at the big shows.
Our first few minutes were a bit omg the judges hut in bright sunshine is scary but once past it he was fine then I only went and went wrong (-2% ! 🤦‍♀️) but König showed some ace work and he settled well as the test went on and we got some fab comments from the judges about his potential so it’s still a win.
Grand Prix day I put my game face on as it was a huge class with some mega horses and I thought right König let’s give your premier league Grand Prix debut and first season at GP a good shot.
We only went and got 67.8% and our International qualifying score !! 🥳🥳🥳🦄❤️💪
He’s so new to the level and still lots to develop and experience to gain we are getting some great marks in places too.
Proud is an understatement.The whole two days he was an absolute star and coped with it all so well.
