Circular walk around East Meon.

The route was described as Above East Meon. Well, as you can see from the pictures, the views over the valley were spectacular but it wasn’t all sunshine.

With the skies a bit overcast and the ground a little sticky, the first 5km were slow going as you twist and turn through the East Meon countryside but after a sudden sharp incline, the whole show started!

Looking out over the Meon Valley, there were huge birds of prey, Butser hill in the distance and rolling hills that got lit up by a crisp winter sun.

If the 7km is a bit too far for you, just take the footpath up through the church and after a short sharp climb, you will see these views.

Exploring Bigbury on sea and Burgh Island. Just finished our traditional beef wellington and now chilling with some carols. Merry Christmas to you all 🎄

We are blessed with Sunsets at the moment, this time on St Catherine’s Hill.

Currently battling a bout of man flu but not letting it take me down so stomped up St Cathy’s with the little fella.

There won’t be too many evenings like this left this year so myself and the dog jumped in the van and headed to higher ground and as always, Old Winch didn’t disappoint.
