🤔 Summer Holiday Club - "Are They Too Young For It?

👍 It's a good question and one parents of our 5, 6 and 7 year olds are always thinking about.

👇 Here's what your child needs to manage to have a brilliant time:

✅ Use the toilet independently
✅ Get themselves changed (including into swim kit with minimal help)
✅ Open their packed lunch and eat without being prompted
✅ Follow instructions from an adult they don't know well
✅ Tell someone if they're feeling upset or unwell

🙌 If they can do all of that, they are ready.

😀 Our friendly coaches know exactly how to support a child who needs a little extra encouragement during the day.

🚩Drowning Prevention Week - Do You/Your Children Know What Beach Flags Mean?

🏊 It's Drowning Prevention Week and we want to make sure every family heads into Summer properly clued up.

🌊 Whether it's a day trip to the coast or a holiday abroad, beach flags are there to keep your children safe in the water.

👇Here's a quick run-down of what they mean:

🟡🔴Red and Yellow - Lifeguard on duty - between the flags is safest place to swim
🔴 Red flag - Dangerous area - Lifeguards are not watching this area. Do NOT swim here.
⚫ Black and white chequered flag - Water sport area. Do NOT swim here.
🟠 Orange windsock — Shows the direction and strength of the wind.

🛟 Some members of our team got together for this short video breaking these down because knowing this before you/your child hits the beach this Summer could genuinely make all the difference.

💛 Our friendly, qualified coaches follow Scottish Swimming's National Learn to Swim Framework every single day across five different locations in Stirling because water safety isn't just something that happens in the pool.

🎉 Celebrating 50 years of ClubSport Stirling
At this year’s Active Stirling Volunteer Awards, we marked a major milestone for community sport — recognising five decades of ClubSport Stirling supporting clubs, volunteers and athletes across the Stirling area.

Since its beginnings in 1976 as one of Scotland’s first sports councils, ClubSport Stirling has grown into a strong network at the heart of local sport — connecting clubs, strengthening communities and creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to take part.

As part of the celebration, we also presented a special Scottish ClubSport Service award to Derek Young, whose 30+ years of dedication to curling has made a lasting impact locally. Congratulations to Derek👏

🌟Early Years Programme - Bad News And Good News

👎Bad news? it's the last week of our current block!

👍Good news? We'll be returning for the same fun after the school holidays (week beginning Monday 17th August).

🙌 Even BETTER news! Normally sessions are booked as a block, but because it's the final one in this term, you can come along and try it for just £5.50.

🌟Then simply book into the next block and you've got post Summer fun sorted already!

🌟 Our Early Years programme runs weekly at The PEAK in Stirling, welcoming little ones from just 6 months right up to 5 years old.

🎵 This week is FUN week so there'll be songs, games and some brilliant movement activities, all led by our friendly coaching team.

🏗️ And of course, the big kit is out. Our popular equipment set up is always a highlight of the week, and the kids absolutely love exploring it. It's brilliant for building gross motor skills, fine motor skills and cognitive development.

🧒 Our 3 to 5 year olds even get to join in independently, which is a lovely chance for them to build a bit of confidence on their own.

🏔️ Six weeks of climbing, swimming, ice skating and multi-sports at The PEAK — and all your kid sees is the best summer ever.

👧🏼 For ages 4 (if child attending school after Summer) –11, Tuesday to Thursday, 30th June through to 6th August.

⏰ Drop off from 8:30am, pick up at 4:30pm — a full day of action led by our brilliant coaching team who make every single kid feel included.

🧗 Tuesday brings climbing and multi-sports.
🏊 Wednesday heads to the pool.

🌊 Drowning Prevention Week

🏊 As Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK states, "drowning is preventable and nobody should drown. "

🎓 In partnership with Scottish Swimming and RLSS this Drowning Prevention Week, our qualified friendly coaches will include specific dedicated water safety education in every lesson across our programme (from Pre-School right through to Club Ready).

🦺 Children learn the Water Safety Code, how to spot dangers, what to do if they get out of their depth, how to float on their back and call for help, and why they should never go in after a friend in trouble.

💦 Real skills. Real confidence. Real safety.

💡 All of this sits within Scottish Swimming's National Learn to Swim Framework, the same programme that saw us named as finalists in Scottish Swimming's Provider of the Year Award 2025.

🧡 We are proud to support RLSS UK's mission to prevent drowning and help every child enjoy water safely. Not just this week, but every week of the year.

💨 What you're actually watching is a team who spend their days making movement fun for the tiniest members of our community — and it turns out, they don't switch that off when the session ends.
