Navigating life post holiday 🥰
A little two week update since getting home.
Getting back on track after a holiday is never easy. I actually only returned to training this week as I was unwell last week, so I gave my body the complete rest it needed to recover 🙏🏽
+ let me tell you, the doms after Monday’s session were horrific 😪😂
My goal has been simple: get back to doing the things that make me feel my best ☁️
I’ve stripped the weight back in my sessions + focused on tempo, I’ve been hitting my protein every day, adding extra carbs + most importantly listening to my body.
I’ve rested when I needed to, moved when I could + focused on building routine again 🌸
Since coming home, the last couple of weekends have also been full of celebrations. I’ve celebrated my sister’s 30th birthday + one of my friend’s home hens which has involved plenty of fun 🤭
There was no way I was jumping straight back into the volume of training I was doing before my holiday + that’s ok.
I think sometimes we forget that fitness should fit around our lives, not the other way around 🫶🏽
