Did you hear we've got a new pitch?

We may have lost our pitch at Steyning Grammar School for a few years, but we're excited (and relieved) to have found an alternative pitch at St Andrew's CE High School, Worthing, which means our club survives another season!

We would like to thank everyone who supported us in our fight to save our pitch - it really means a lot.

So, if you've thought about giving hockey a go, why not come and join us for Club Day and we can all be new together!

The future of grassroots hockey hangs in the balance.

Currently 3 hockey clubs in Sussex are facing an uncertain future because of plans to replace astro pitches with 3G pitches. This needs to stop.

Our beloved hockey club's future is again under threat because the school wants to replace the astro pitch with a 3G pitch (hockey cannot be played on 3G).

The astro pitch at Steyning Grammar School currently serves two hockey clubs (including mine, Southwick HC), as well as all the other sports clubs who currently use it.

Our club, its members, and the community, do not deserve to lose another astro pitch.

Southwick ladies 1s v Horsham 3s: 13/1/24 (just a few snaps!).

England Hockey South East League Martlets (Sussex) Division 1.⁣ Match was played at Christ's Hospital School, Horsham. Result was Horsham 8 Southwick 0 (HT 3-0).

It's not often hockey is cancelled, but the first match of today is unfortunately off - thanks to our pitch inspector, Maz!

Blast from the past - 20 years ago to be precise! 9 out of 12 of these ladies are still playing hockey for Southwick HC (2 of them emigrated). Why don't you come along and give us a go and find out how to make lifelong friends!
