What a weekend we have had at Broom Farm Riding School. First we had our fantastic riders at pony camp then we met some amazing people at our taster sessions on Saturday. Then to top it all off we had some new arrivals today. Meet our new kunekune piglets!! Both girls, we hope you will all help us out with some names. Let us know your suggestions 😍

Good times again at our summer session today at Broom Farm Riding School. Ponies and riders were amazing. We had a wee taster of mounted games and of dressage and everyone was fantastic!! Roll on session number three….. huge thank you to all our helpers today.

🌟 Ever wanted to meet a horse or try riding for the very first time?

Our Broom Farm Riding School Taster Sessions are designed especially for beginners and anyone who’s always wanted to experience life around horses.

During your 30-minute session you’ll:
✨ Meet one of our friendly horses
🪮 Learn how to groom them
🐎 Finish with a riding experience

💷 Only £15 (half-price summer holiday offer!)

📅 Saturday 25th July
🕒 3:00pm – 3:30pm
🕞 3:30pm – 4:00pm

We had a great time at our first ever pole clinic yesterday. Each rider used our coloured straws to visualise their own patterns which we then transferred onto paper. These were put up in the school and our fab course builders followed the designs. Each rider explained what they wanted us all to do and we all had a go. Looking forward to our next summer session coming up really soon.

So here’s our first event…. And a first for Broom Farm Riding School! A pole clinic. Hopefully with all our riders help we are going to come up with as many patterns as we can with poles in the school and see how well we can ride those patterns. Who’s up to try their skills? As always please book through Aileen only on 01294 465437, this activity is open to all our riders.
As the activities are slightly longer this summer please bring a drink and a snack if you want.

Schools out for summer!!!
Throughout the summer holidays we will be running a series of events that you will hopefully love getting involved with. Each event will be different and will be loads of fun…
Each event will run from 10am -1pm so keep your eyes peeled for our very first announcement and date.
Flyers will be handed out each weekend for the upcoming event so don’t worry if your rider is not on our social media page.
Exciting times ahead!!!!

Great news from Jill tonight regarding two of our Saturday riders. Here is her message…

A big well done to Lauren and Hannah today.
They both moved up a lesson and rode with determination and coped well with lots of new challenges.

Bank holiday Monday saw a visit from a local brownie group. We had a tour of the farm and met all the animals before playing some horse related games. I think though the best part of the evening visit was when Magnus, Guy and Gem introduced everyone to horse riding. Some of the girls had never sat on a horse before so we had some very brave brownies!! Please get in touch if this is something your group would be interested in.
