Brilliant result for the gym on Saturday and we end the year on a high. Always a brilliant show is MTGP and a good stage for any fighter to show off there hard work.
Sarah Watson was first up in her first ever fight on a big stage against a very tough opponent. The fight was evenly matched from start to finish but Sarah just edged it with the success of her kicks. Handled the entire day like a seasoned fighter. Top job.
Danny Bucke fought a very strong opponent through the full five rounds. Danny’s opponents game plan seemed to be to shut him down and clinch but Danny but his skills in the clinch to good use, including his elbows giving his opponent a cut in the fifth round.
Brilliant day, thank you for all the supports who came and cheered them both on. Thank you to the ones who streamed the fights at home and sending messages to the fighter to keep there spirits high before the fights.
Thanks to everyone at Jai for helping the guys leading up to Saturday. Thank you to Craig at intershape gym as well for the strength and conditioning work and nutrition guidance for the fighters.

A fantastic day Kiatphontip Muay Thai Gym interclub.
Well done to all the Jai team who, for many of them, was their first experience of an interclub.
I don’t think we’ve ever had such a great team of students and coaches. Coaches Kieran Barrett and Luke Akrigg looked after everyone today, and Tom Spencer and Anthony Chung working hard helping coach Danny Bucke who fights 10th May in Leeds.

Job done for Sam on Saturday. All the training and running paying off with a tko victory in round 2. Sam came out round one dominant by establish his boxing quickly and taking his opponent by surprise with the first 1-2 thrown.
A head kick just missing its target as well.
We in the corner knew this fight could be over if Sam piled the pressure in quickly and it worked a treat. Well done Sam !!
Big thanks to everyone who has helped Sam out for his fight camp including Kieran Barrett who also had his first taste of being in the corner.
A great show put on by Sandee Fight Series and look forward to being back.
