🎾☕ Game, set… espresso!

Club Mornings have just had a serious upgrade, thanks to Caroline, Liz’s mum, who has very kindly donated her Nespresso machine to the Club!

Now we can serve up aces on court and decent coffee off it! Thank you so much, Caroline, we’ll raise a cup to you! ☕👏

🎾🏆 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALS DAY! 🏆🎾

All summer, our players have been battling it out on court, and now we’re down to the finalists!

Sunday 13 September is Stebbing Tennis Club’s 2026 Club Championships Finals Day. 🎾

We’ve got a fantastic day of tennis ahead, starting at 10am, with:

🎾 Ladies’ & Men’s Singles
🎾 9U & 10U Finals
🎾 Pickleball Presentation & Exhibition Match
🎾 Ladies’ & Men’s Doubles
🎾 14U & Mixed Doubles

🏆 Presentations will take place throughout the day.

Come down, cheer on our finalists and enjoy the atmosphere, with a cash BBQ and refreshments available too. 🌭☕️

🔥 A hotly contested win for our Ladies’ Vets! 🎾

Playing indoors in the heat away at David Lloyd Gidea Park, the team battled brilliantly to secure a fantastic 6–2 victory.

Erika (C) and Sophy won all four of their sets, while Tracy and Sara H added two more in an incredibly close contest that included two tie-breaks!

A brilliant team performance and a well-earned win. Well played, ladies! 🙌🎾

We’ve had a fabulous 5 weeks of summer camps at Stebbing Tennis Club! It’s been a pleasure to see lots of familiar faces as well as welcome many new budding tennis players to the club. With just one week of camps left we now look ahead to the autumn term. Junior group coaching starts on 1 September. 🎾 THREE IN A ROW FOR OUR LADIES 2ND TEAM! 🎾

What a fantastic run for our Ladies’ 2nd team, with three consecutive wins in Division 2! 🙌🎉

After victories away against Pleshey and Stansted & Puckeridge, the winning streak continued against Much Hadham, with an impressive 13–3 victory! 👏🎾

That takes the team’s record so far this summer to:

🎉 3 wins
🤝 2 draws
🎾 2 losses

A brilliant achievement in their first summer season since moving up to Division 2. 💪

Huge congratulations to all the ladies who have represented Stebbing so far:

Nicki (Captain), Maria, Sara P, Ness, Kim, Caroline L, Bubble, Sandra, Helen, Natalie and Milly 💚

🏆 Match Result – Ladies 1st Team 🏆

What a battle! 💪☀️

After an epic 3.5 hours in the heat, our Ladies 1st Team came out on top with a fantastic 9–7 victory over Henham! 🎉🎾

A huge well done to Tracy (Captain), Natalie, Sara and Rorie for digging deep, staying focused and bringing home the win. 👏

Amazing teamwork, determination and resilience from everyone involved. Congratulations, ladies! 💚💛

Sunshine, serves and smiles… what a combination! ☀️🎾

Last Friday’s Ladies’ Social had everything, friendly doubles, delicious nibbles, a glass (or two!), and lots of laughter both on and off the court.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another fantastic evening. We can’t wait to do it all again soon! 🥂💚

🎾 Another fantastic milestone for one of our rising junior stars! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Maddie, who has been awarded the LTA Ratings Tournaments Silver Award after playing an incredible 286 LTA ratings matches! 👏🏆

As if that wasn't enough, Maddie has also secured a place on the prestigious Billericay LTC PPE National Pathway Programme, an elite coaching programme designed to develop some of the country's most talented young tennis players.

Maddie's dedication, determination and love for tennis continue to shine through, and it has been fantastic to watch her progress from Grade 5 to Grade 3 tournaments. We couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved.

Our Head Coach, Mark Clarke, said:

"Maddie is a pleasure to coach as she always puts 100% effort in and really looks forward to our sessions. She is a quick learner and applies the coaching in her matches, which has seen her progress from Grade 5 to Grade 3. Her enthusiasm for the game of tennis is great to see and she should be proud of her achievements."

🎾 Mixed First Team Triumph! 🎾

A fantastic 8:1 victory for our Mixed First Team away to Braintree B last night!

It was a warm but bearable evening, with some excellent tennis on display throughout. Congratulations to Kat & Will, Rory & Sophy, and Tracy (c) & Ross, who all played superbly to secure a clean sweep.

A brilliant team performance and another great result. Well done, everyone! 💪🎾
