starcross-fcc page is currently on hold regarding deletion. COVID 19 has given us quite a bit of time to be doing lots of other things, as well as maybe think about whether this page could continue in some way. Or indeed, if our initial decision will eventually stand.
All members that use Facebook are encouraged to use page Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club, for all the latest club information.
Our website www.starcross-fcc.co.uk is still in service too, and provides pretty much all that we are doing as well.

LATEST NEWS

Encompassing GDPR, which is necessary for us as a responsible organisation, this Starcross Fcc page will shortly be terminated. It has been rightly decided that as a private club, our Facebook, as well as selected other social medias, can only be available to SFCC members.

SFCC are now moving forward here on Facebook/Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club, which will be a closed group and strictly for SFCC members only.

This is what happens when you think you can spend £m's and control the power of the sea with a sand barrier!!
Dawlish Warren flood defence work was completed in 2017, and it had a projected service life of 30 years. It lasted less than 2. The Environment Agency say no mistakes were made, but they realise now that projected statistics were incorrect. They have put into place emergency protection for the Geotubes, (which must not be breached), and are monitoring things until a solution is arranged. Here's what the mess looks like, as of on Feb 16th 2020.

Hopefully you're sitting down for this one! A colossal 22lb bass was tamed in the Bristol Channel last night in some slightly challenging conditions. The captor released his prize too, which I'm sure lots of you will be happy to hear. Huge congratulations to Gruu (don't know his surname).
