You often read stories of people who came up with their idea over a couple beers with friends. You even hear those feel good stories of university roommates, and best friends who started an idea together. We came together because we believed what we could do with Stapleford Town football Club would represent a shift in how young people perceive football clubs and to open their eyes to the opportunities that lie within them. See, clubs are not just products that you buy for 99p; they are complete businesses with revenues, customers, technology, and partners. They have heart and soul and have more about them than standing on a field trying to keep warm. We aim to give our members a complete understanding of not only how to play football but how to coach teams and manage a football club. From its early beginnings teams continued to be produced each year. The team first played at Hickings Lane, Stapleford, where to this day teams continue to play and train. Each year since then new teams have formed and from this tiny acorn, the club now has over 150 kids playing from under 5’s up to Under 16’s. The teams play across a number of sites in the Stapleford area of Nottinghamshire. The club prides itself on having an excellent reputation amongst other clubs, having strong links with the community and of developing and nurturing talent, always with the emphasis on the kids playing with a smile on their face.
