A huge thank you to our 26 fantastic volunteers who made Pomphrey Hill parkrun #558 possible on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. 🌞

This week saw 273 finishers, 37 PBs, several milestone celebrations, and the welcome return of Julian, who has kindly provided this week's report. Expect tales of a suspiciously flawless Run Director briefing, a marshal who could probably be heard across South Gloucestershire, and a parkwalker who may have forgotten the job description... 👀

Morning. We’re on today, but there’s a new padlock on the Johnson Road overflow car park. It’s locked at the moment and we can’t guarantee that it will be open before 9am. Please try to get here early, or don't bring your car if you don’t have far to travel! Thanks all.

Hello all, if you're driving to us tomorrow please schedule more time for parking as the overflow car park on Johnson Road is being used for the family fun fair so there may not be any overflow parking spaces. As always, please be considerate and safe when parking, thank you.

Hello all! You'll be glad to know that the sun is set to stay with us at Pomphrey Hill until Saturday's parkrun! 😎🌞 However, as always, parkrun can't go ahead without our lovely volunteers so if you're able to offer your time and energy please come forwards to fill these positions:
- Timekeeper
- Finish token support
- Barcode scanner

Carolyn, one of our lovely regular parkrunners, unfortunately took a tumble at this morning’s event and wanted to update concerned fellow parkrunners: “I am heading home now (5:30pm) after 7 hours in the minor injuries clinic at Yate where I was extremely well looked after. Have a nasty laceration to my elbow which took a bit of sorting out but otherwise ok. Really grateful for everyone’s help and concern. Especially grateful to Lucy Swanell and Nikki Rice for looking after me. Many thanks. Carolyn” On behalf of the core team I would also like to add my thanks to all those who who assisted Carolyn. We wish her a speedy recovery 💐❤️
