🚧 December Roadworks Update – 3 December 2025 🚧
This is our last roadworks update for 2025, and the good news is that there are no major closures planned for December or January.

However, Affinity Water will be carrying out essential maintenance across several locations in the village, and will be using temporary traffic lights to do so.

🚗✨All works are signed off by Essex Highways. As such, we cannot be held responsible for any alterations to these plans, as Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council is not involved in scheduling or approving roadworks.

🚧🚦November Roadworks - 31.10.2025
Other than Affinity Water's series of roadworks across the village in November, we'd like to bring to your attention the closure of Chapel Hill on Remembrance Sunday. This will last from 10.30-11.05am and is needed to ensure the safety of the parade to be led by personnel from Carver Barracks and to limit disruption to the service itself.

⚒We would like to stress Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council is not involved in the planning of roadworks. This is undertaken by Essex Highways or utility providers. As such we cannot be held responsible for any changes to this schedule.
